As well as my father, we decided together to file a complaint accompanied by criminal indemnification proceedings for libel and defamation."

Panathinaikos Get 3 Year European Ban

Greece's oldest club have received a 3 year ban from European competition after failing to pay their debts. Earlier this month their players went on strike over unpaid wages from last year. Pana had been given a suspended sentence by UEFA in December and given until 1st March to settle their debts, but they failed to comply with the deadline. Leeds Take Criticism Over Planned Myanmar Tour

With Myanmar currently in the middle of a political storm over issues in Rakhine province which as described as a 'textbook example of ethnic cleansing', Leeds United have organised a couple of friendly games in the country for pre-season. Politicians throughout the UK, of all the main political parties, have lined up to hit out at Leeds for the decision, which has been called terms such as 'morally corrupt'. Leeds themselves showed no concerns as their managing director Angus Kinnear said the club were 'delighted' to support Myanmar's ambitions for football, Kinnear added: "This tour gives us an opportunity to meet new fans of football who will hopefully support our journey back to the Premier League in the coming years."

France Football Apologise To Iniesta Over Lack Of Ballon D'Or

The words 'about time too' come to mind regarding this story as France Football, the magazine responsible for the Ballon d'Or award, have apologised to Andres Iniesta for never awarding it to him. Magazine editor Pascal Ferre wrote in an editorial: "He is the best game facilitator of all time. Most of his contemporaries complicate their lives, but he has had fun for about fifteen years, simplifying everything, without any conceited bad thoughts, just to make the game live. Iniesta's talent is to invent for others. Without him, Messi would have gotten tired much faster at Barca. His altruism has surely deprived him of even greater recognition. Among the great absences in the Golden Ball prize list, his is painful." It really cannot be overstated just how much Iniesta has deserved the award over the years.
