Dyche Praise For Hart

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has claimed Joe Hart is head and shoulders above the level he was at when he joined. The England keeper left Manchester City in the summer after 12 years with the Mancunians and has been an ever-present for Burnley in the Premier League this season, culminating in a man-of-the-match display last weekend. Dyche said: "When I spoke to him coming in he was free to play. He had a start with the injuries (to Nick Pope and Tom Heaton) but I told him there was a big demand here with the group of goalkeepers we've got. He's risen to that, but then he's a quality goalkeeper. Joe needed a base again, he's been on loan and it's a different challenge. The one thing he didn't come for was the money, 100 per cent. He wanted to play and test himself, he knew it wouldn't be a walk in the park. He's taken on that challenge and enjoyed it."

Falkirk Add Midfielder

Prince Buaben has joined Scottish Championship side Falkirk until January. The 30 year old free agent was released by Hearts in the summer.

South Africa Getting Desperate

South Africa head coach Stuart Baxter has looked to a Chinese-based journeyman striker to see them through a double-header of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. After being held to a goalless draw by Libye in their last qualifying game, Baxter has called up Dino Ndlovu, who has managed 18 goals in 20 matches for Zheijang Greentown. In China's second tier.
South Africa squad:
Goalkeepers: Darren Keet (BidVest Wits), Itumeleng Khune (Kaizer Chiefs), Ronwen Williams (SuperSport United),
Defenders: Sifiso Hlanti, Thulani Hlatshwayo (both Bidvest Wits), Motjeka Madisha (Mamelodi Sundowns), Innocent Maela (Orlando Pirates), Buhle Mkwanazi (Bidvest Wits), Thapelo Morena (Mamelodi Sundowns), Ramahlwe Mphahlele (Kaizer Chiefs), Siyanda Xulu (Maritzburg United)
Midfielders: Dean Furman (SuperSport United), Hlompho Kekana, Lebogang Maboe (both Mamelodi Sundowns), Teboho Mokoena (SuperSport United), Kamohelo Mokotjo (Brentford, England), Thabo Nodada (Cape Town City), Vincent Pule (Orlando Pirates), Sibusiso Vilakazi (Mamelodi Sundowns)
Strikers: Phakamani Mahlambi (Mamelodi Sundowns), Lebo Mothiba (Racing Strasbourg, France), Dino Ndlovu (Zheijang Greentown, China), Lebogang Phiri (En Avant Guingamp, France), Percy Tau (Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, Belgium).

Keeper Injured Watching Ice Hockey

Coventry City keeper Lee Burge has picked up a freak injury watching the Coventry Blaze take on Sheffield Steelers on Sunday. The 25 year old was hit by a loose shot leaving him with a bandaged head and a need to be assessed ahead of his team's League One game with Portsmouth tonight. Burge has said he will not be going back to the hockey, unsurprisingly.

Preston Midfielder Suffers Season Ending Injury

Preston North End's Josh Harrop is set to sit on the sidelines for the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury after coming on as a substitute against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend. The 22 year old is the second Preston player to suffer the injury this season following Billy Bodin, who also picked one up in the opening weeks of the season.

Shaw Hits Out At Man Utd Performance

Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw has had harsh words for his team-mates, after calling the weekend's performance against West Ham United "horrendous" and "awful". The 3-1 defeat to the Happy Hammers ensured it was Man Utd's worst start in the league for 29 years leaving Shaw to say: "It was not good enough from a Manchester United team with all the talent we have. We didn't look like a team that was going to beat West Ham. If you want the truth I think it was honestly horrendous. I think individually and as a team we were awful."

Bale Agent Suspended

David Manasseh, the managing director of Stellar, with the likes of Gareth Bale, Kieran Trippier, Luke Shaw and Jordan Pickford on their books, has been suspended from all football activity for 3 months and fined £50,000. Manasseh was found guilty of entering into a contract with a player before the year of his 16th birthday.

De Bruyne Back 6 Weeks Early

Manchester City have been boosted by the return to training of Kevin De Bruyne, just 6 weeks after being ruled out for 3 months with a lateral collateral ligament lesion in his right knee. More fuel to the fire for Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt, who has often hinted at underhand methods employed in the care of players' injuries after the two worked together at Bayern Munich.

Montpellier Fans Provisionally Banned

Following crowd trouble at the weekend involving Montpellier fans during their 3-0 win over local rivals Nimes, the French Football League (LFP) has provisionally banned Montpellier fans from away games while they investigate the incidents. An LFP statement read: "Given the seriousness of the matter, the Disciplinary Commission has decided to open an investigation into the matter and provisionally close the away sector for Montpellier fans travelling to games, to close the lower section of the Etang de Thau stand and the upper section of the Petite Camargue stand."

Las Vegas Police Reopen Rape Investigation Into Ronaldo

The criminal case against Cristiano Ronaldo, stemming from a rape allegation made against him there in 2009, has been reopened by Las Vegas police. Last week, attorney Leslie Mark Stovall filed a complaint in Clark County District Court alleging that Ronaldo assaulted his client, Kathryn Mayorga, in a Las Vegas hotel room on June 13, 2009. A police statement read: "As of September 2018, the case has been reopened and our detectives are following up on information being provided by the victim. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details will be released at this time." Ronaldo has called the accusation "fake fake news" and Stovall has hit back at the footballer saying: "Ms. Mayorga's filed complaint, the physical evidence of her sexual assault, answers to written questions regarding the sexual assault attributed to Cristiano Ronaldo, the communications and conduct of the 'team' representing Cristiano Ronaldo, the circumstances surrounding the purported agreement for settlement and non disclosure, and the psychological injuries suffered by Ms. Mayorga are not 'fake news,'. Ms. Mayorga's August 2018 decision to contact the police and participate in the criminal investigation of the June 13, 2009, sexual assault, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's current investigation of the June 13, 2009, sexual assault of Ms. Mayorga, and the existence of Nevada Revised Statute 171.083 removing the time limits for criminal prosecution of a sexual assault in the State of Nevada, are not 'fake news.'" The civic complaint which has been filed claims Mayorga was coerced into signing a non-disclosure agreement in 2010 in an out-of-court settlement for $375,000. Der Spiegel first reported the settlement in April 2017, when Ronaldo's representatives called the report "a piece of journalistic fiction".
