Football News: Celtic claim the three points but rue missed chances again.

Celtic continued their winning streak by notching their seventh straight win defeating Motherwell 1-0 thanks to an early Anthony Stokes goal.

Celtic dominated the match and the scoreline flatters the hosts as John Guidetti had a rare off-day and failed to put Motherwell to the sword when.

The only goal of the gamer came after only five minutes when Johansen seized upon Kerr's wayward pass to tee-up Stokes to slot the ball home.

Celtic wasted a raft of chances to kill the game off and when Motherwell's Ramsden was sent off in 68 minutes for a challenge on Forrest any real hopes of Motherwell making a comeback left with him.

Celtic continued to apply pressure but couldn't get the ball in the net again with Guidetti the main culprit for missing chance after chance.

After the match manager Ronny Delia echoed the fans concerns regarding not converting enough chances into goals, "I was happy we created a lot of chances but we need to be more effective than we have been in the last two games as we will get punished one day if we don't take them" he said after the game.
