Contracts

Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic has signed a 1 year contract.

Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki has a new 3 year contract with the Canaries, as has Todd Cantwell.

Mallorca midfielder Iddrisu Baba has also signed a 3 year deal.

Young Amiens full-back Valentin Gendrey is another to agree a 3 year deal.

Ollie Norburn has also signed a 3 year contract, this time with Shrewsbury Town.

Joss Labadie has signed a 2 year contract extension with Newport County.

 

Transfers

Norwich City have signed teenage centre back Rocky Bushiri from KV Oostende.

Sevilla have paid about £13.5m for winger Lucas Ocampos from Olympique Marseille. The Andalusians have spent another £22.5m on young French defender Jules Kounde from Girondins Bordeaux.

James Wilson has been given a free transfer by Manchester United and signed for SPFL side Aberdeen.

Real Madrid's Spanish striker Raul de Tomas has signed for Benfica in a deal worth around £18m.

Spanish left-back Angelino has moved to Manchester City from PSV Eindhoven for under £11m.

Joao Felix has become the 5th most expensive player in history as the Portugese teenager has left Benfica to join Atletico Madrid in a deal worth over £110m. Mexican international midfielder Hector Herrera has also signed for Atleti from a Portugese giant. This time it was a free transfer from Porto. Leaving Atleti is key midfielder Rodrigo, who is signing for Manchester City in a record fee for the Premier League champions of £63m.

Olympique Lyonnaise have spent over £8m on LOSC Lille full-back Yousouf Kone. Brazilian midfielder Thiago Mendes has completed a nearly £20m move to Lyon also from Lille.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Luke Freeman has signed for Sheffield United. QPR have brought in Conor Masterson on a free transfer from Liverpool.

Eintracht Frankfurt have spent nearly £8m on German midfielder Dominik Kohr from Bayer Leverkusen. Frankfurt have also completed the signing of full-back Erik Durm on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town.

Leeds United have taken Helder Costa on loan with a view to buy from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Everton defender Brendan Galloway has joined Luton Town on a free transfer.

Gonzalo Melero has joined Levante from SD Huesca for over £3m.

Watford's Ecuadorian left-back Pervis Estupinan has been sent on loan to Osasuna.

Paul Coutts has found a new team following his release from Sheffield United in the summer and signed for Fleetwood Town.

Jack Payne has signed for Lincoln City on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town. Another leaving the Terriers is forward Rekeil Pyke who has returned to Rochdale for another loan.

Newcastle United midfielder Dan Barlaser has joined Rotherham United on a season-long loan.

Sullay Kaikai has signed for Blackpool on a free transfer from NAC Breda.

Lee Burge has signed for Sunderland following his release from Coventry City.

Arsenal youngster Daniel Ballard is set to spend next season on loan with Swindon Town.

Northampton Town have made a double signing. Charlie Goode has arrived from Scunthorpe United for an undisclosed fee. Striker Vadaine Oliver has arrived on a free from Morecambe.

Cameron Pring has joined Walsall on loan for the season.

Nicky Ajose has signed for Exeter City after being let go by Charlton Athletic.

Barnsley have paid an undisclosed fee for Finnish centre-back Aapo Halme from Leeds United.

Yaya Toure has signed for Chinese 2nd division side Qingdao Huanghai.

Celtic have signed Belgian left-back Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo from Rapid Vienna.

 

Macc Face Player Winding Up Petition

After settling up debts to HMRC, a winding-up petition in the High Court against Macclesfield Town was taken up by Egerton Youth Club who were owed around £20,000 after Macc used the club for training. After finally settling the debt to Egerton, a group of Macclesfield players have taken over the petition, which has been adjourned until mid-August.

 

Rovers Return For Johnson

Former Blackburn Rovers youth academy graduate Damien Johnson has been named as first team technical coach and head of player development. The former Northern Ireland international had been working with the under-23s at Ewood Park following his retirement from playing. Johnson said: "This was a chance I just couldn't turn down. It's a club that has played a huge part in my career, both as a player and a manager, and gave me my first opportunity in first team football. It's vitally important to continue the pathway for players from Under-23s football to the first team, which is something we've done a lot over the years. The players need to make that transition from development squad football to the first team and that's the challenge for them."

 

Goalie-Punching Fan Is Sentenced

The Hibernian fan who punched Heart of Midlothian goalkeeper Zdenek Zlamal during an Edinburgh derby match last season has been given a football banning order for just 12 months. 21 year old Edward Harrold has also been given just a 150 hours of community service despite the little prick already having a previous conviction for football violence.

 

Another Pay Dispute Mars AFCON

Uganda have become the 4th nation to have issues regarding pay at this summer's AFCON tournament, following Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Cameroon. Uganda's players boycotted training on Tuesday due to the dispute ahead of playing Senegal in the last 16 on Friday. The Ugandan FA claim that the players are trying to renegotiate the terms of a pre-agreed deal.
