Contracts

Oldham Athletic midfielder Davis Keillor-Dun has now played enough games to trigger a 1-year extension to his contract.

Fleetwood Town's former Liverpool and Rangers midfielder Jordan Rossiter has signed a new deal with Fleetwood Town. The 24 year old is not tied down until 2023.

Defender Joe Walsh has signed a new long-term contract with Lincoln City.

Borussia Dortmund have announced that they have given their CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2025. The 61-year-old was set to leave at the end of his previous deal in 2022, but has agreed to stay on and guide the club through its current financial crisis. Also extending their deals to the same date are Dortmund's FInance Director Thomas Tress and Sales Director Carsten Cramer.

Transfers

Manchester City have announced that their all-time record goalscorer Sergio Aguero is to leave in the summer when his contract expires. The 32-year-old has score 257 goals in 384 appearances (so far) for City and will be given a statue alongside the ones for Vincent Kompany and David Silva.

Former Celtic midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has been released by Jiangsu FC.

Veteran former Bayern Munich right-back Rafinha has left Olympiacos on a free transfer to join Gremio.

Scott Allan has joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan from Hibernian.

Injury Round-Up

Forest Green Rovers' striker Jamille Matt's season has come to an early end after the 31-year-old underwent surgery on a hand injury. The Jamaican forward has scored 16 goals this season to put FGR in to promotion contention.

Poland's Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is out for up to 10 days with a knee ligament injury.

Managerial Changes

Disciplinary Charges

Wales trio Hal Robson-Kanu, Rabbi Matondo and Tyler Roberts have been sent home after "breaching protocols". The Football Association of Wales refused to provide any details but just stated: "The three players will be returning to their respective clubs this afternoon. The FAW will not be making any further comment." Roberts however provided further details when apologising: "Gutted to be leaving the camp early, but rules are rules and I shouldn't have been up in the hotel later than the set time. Sorry to the team, staff and Wales fans. I will continue to work as hard as I can to earn my place in the squad for the Euros."

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is facing disciplinary action after storming off the pitch before the final whistle. Playing for his country Portugal against Serbia, they had let a two-goal lead slip in a World Cup qualifier to be drawing 2-2 in the dying embers of the game when the Portugese captain hit a shot which clearly crossed the line. Replays showed that it had done so but there was no goalline technology or VAR for the match and the officials decided not to allow the goal to stand. An irate Ronaldo stalked off the pitch after he was shown a yellow card for remonstrating with a linesman, ripping off his captain's armband and throwing it to the floor in disgust on his way off. The referee, Danny Makkelie, has since proferred a public apology for his error in not awarding the goal.

Bournemouth Losses

Recently relegated Championship club Bournemouth have announced pre-tax losses of more than £60m for the year ending in 30th June 2020, when they dropped out of the Premier League. The previous tax year their losses were £32.4m. The pandemic and drop in league position saw their turnover fall by £35.7m on the year. Since this financial year ended, the Cherries have sold a large number of players, including Harry Arter, Nathan Ake, Callum Wilson and Aaron Ramsdale.

Fuentes Evades Madrid Question

The doctor who was involved in multiple doping scandals in a number of different sports, Eufemiano Fuentes, has seemed to suggest he worked with Real Madrid's medical staff. During an in-depth interview the doctor was asked about his relationship with a number of Spanish clubs, after he was linked with Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona and Real Sociedad. He was clear that he had no relationship with Valencia but when asked directly about his relationship with Madrid, Fuentes paused, looks down and eventually answers, "I am not going to answer that question". The interviewer, Jordi Evolve, then asked: "With who could we talk to at Real Madrid to find out if you worked with their doctors?" Fuentes then began to fidget uncomfortably before reaching down to pick up a bottle of water and said: "May I? While I drink, I'll think." Fuentes refused to clarify, in a very obvious insinuation he was involved with Madrid's doctors. Madrid have since denounced the doctor and have claimed they are considering legal action over the hint.

Bernabeu To Include Casino

Real Madrid's planned refurbishment of the Santiago Bernabeu is to include a casino inside the stadium. The casino is expected to be able to fleece the fans for over £100m in extra revenue for the money-orientated club. The ongoing renovations have seen the Champions League tie against Liverpool moved to the club's 6,000 seat Alfredo Di Stefano ground.
