Football News: Hyypia quits Brighton
Former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia has resigned as manager of Brighton and Hove Albion.
Brighton was Hyypia's first managerial spell in English football, following a spell managing Bayer Leverkusen.
His 6 months in charge led to just 2 wins in 22 matches and his position was under pressure as the fans had turned on him, with banners demanding he leave being highly visible in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Hyypia replaced Oscar Garcia in the summer and the 41 year old is already being tipped to take a coaching role with former club Liverpool, though that seems unlikely at this present moment in time.
