Most will argue that the winner of the FA CUP tie between Manchester United and Arsenal will likely go on to win the competition in May.

Over the years both clubs have been involved in some intense rivalries and although the rivalry may have faded over the past decade it certainly appears to be heating up once more as we prepare for Di Maria vs Sanchez, Ozil vs Mata and the returns for 2 players; Van Persie and Welbeck - Both formerly loved by both clubs.

But if you had to create a Combined XI who would make it to game day?

This squad will be decided by statistical data provided by Squawka. - Statistics based on this season.

Gibbs/shaw at left back, Ramsey in for flamini and then santi central with adm on the left.

MgM

{Jordan's Note - Gibbs could be argued at LB, statistically Shaw has been good but not great. Ramsey would make a better choice going box to box, but once again statistically based on form Flamini is the anchor holding that midfield together.

Also, of we're going on form, Di Maria wouldn't be anywhere near that team. Great player on his day, in his position with the right player around him, unfortunately he doesn't have any of that at the moment, before the UCL final he was just as poor as Nani according to United fans, now all of a sudden he's a world beater.

Good player, not £60 Million.

Utd should be just utd and Arsenal should just be Arsenal. This is never a team I'd play even for fantasy football

{Jordan's Note - Perhaps not, however statistically this is the best combination of both teams, when research for the article I was just as surprised with the outcome for how well/poorly players have performed this season.

Out of interest, what would your combined XI be not based on reputation of players?
