Review of the Day
Hamburg Relegated
SV Hamburg fans reacted angrily as their club suffered its first relegation since the Bundesliga was formed in 1963. The end of the game was delayed for ten minutes as fans, chanting "we are Hamburg, you are not", set off and threw flares. Lines of police and security staff spread across the pitch to prepare for any trouble, but the game was able to be completed after the delay.
Kane Will Be Fresher This Time
Harry Kane has backed himself to give a better showing this summer in the World Cup than he managed in the 2016 Euros. Kane said: "This summer I will be fresher. That was my first tournament so there were a lot of expectations. Having that experience will help and I definitely feel better. Obviously I had a good rest last summer. This year has been tough with all the competitions we played in. But I'm feeling good. I'm feeling like anyone would at this stage of the season but there is plenty of time to recover and get ready for the World Cup. We get a week off before we meet up with England and I'm going to go away with my wife and relax. I'll tick over, obviously, but it's more about relaxing mentally, playing a bit of golf and spending some time with my wife. Then we'll meet up with England and have four days together, prepare for the friendlies and get ready."
Plea To Leave Nice
OGC Nice striker Alassane Plea looks set to leave the French club this summer after revealing he has an agreement with the club to move. Plea said: "There is a strong chance that I am leaving. It is something that I have had with the club for a while, an agreement that let's me leave because I think I am ready to go elsewhere. I think I will being going abroad. But we will see, there is still one more match. Then after that, I will concentrate with my agents on the window, that's it."
PSG President Rules Out Neymar Move
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has ruled out the possibility of selling the Brazilian superstar in the summer. Al Khelaifi told reporters: "Who said he cannot stay here? Did anyone say that? Nobody. He has a contract with us and he will stay at 2000 per cent."
Stoger Confirms He Will Leave Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund's head coach Peter Stoger has confirmed that he will not be in charge next season. Stoger said: "This was my last competitive match for BVB today. We had already made that joint decision some time ago. In discussions with Michael Zorc and Hans-Joachim Watzke, which were always constructive talks, we decided after a short time that a new impulse is necessary and will help the club. And the easiest way to set a new impulse is with a new coach. I could have announced that decision many times, as I was frequently asked by everyone. But I'm an old-fashioned guy."
