Sunderland winger Joel Asoro has completed a move to Swansea City. The 19 year old has moved for the ubiquitous undisclosed fee of just over £2m.

Jorginho has followed Maurizio Sarri over to Chelsea from Napoli. The 26 year old Italian international midfielder had been close to joining Manchester City earlier in the window. The Londoners will be paying over £50m for his services.

Diedhiou Ban Upheld

The FA have rejected Bristol City's striker Famara Diedhiou's appeal against a 6 match ban for a spitting incident. The Senegalese has denied the allegation which resulted from a 3-1 win over Birmingham City in April, but will have to face a spell on the sidelines anyway. A Bristol City statement read: "Both the club and player continue to strongly deny the allegation which we believe was based on very limited evidence."

Villa Reject Stoke's Chester Bid

Aston Villa have rejected a £5m bid for defender James Chester from fellow Championship side Stoke City. With Villa's finances in a mess and in need of some sales to comply with FFP regulations, it is likely to be only a matter of haggling for a price before the versatile defender leaves.

Sarri Takes Over At Chelsea

In the most unsurprising appointment since my last dental appointment told me I needed a new filling, Maurizio Sarri has taken charge of Chelsea after the sacking of Antonio Conte. Sarri, who is known for his attacking football in Italian football, said: "It is an exciting new period in my career. I hope we can provide some entertaining football for our fans and that we will be competing for trophies at the end of the season, which is what this club deserves."

Hazard Drops Move Hints

Despite the arrival of new manager Sarri, Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has dropped hints he may be looking to move on, following constant hints in interviews throughout the World Cup almost begging Real Madrid to sign him. Following on from his 'I would love to play for Real Madrid' quotes over the last few weeks, Hazard said, following the third/fourth place play off: "You know my preferred destination. I can decide if I want to stay or go but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go." He also said "it might be time to discover something different" after spending six "wonderful years" at Stamford Bridge.
