Transfers
Brighton & Hove Albion have made their 6th signing of the summer, after already adding 2 keepers, 2 defenders and a striker to their ranks, they have now added a new midfielder. 21 year old Mali international Yves Bissouma has arrived from Lille for an undisclosed fee of just over £15m.
Blackpool have made a double signing with the arrival of two full-backs, one a former Arsenal youngster the other a former Liverpool youth player. 20 year old left back Marc Bola comes in on a free after being released by Arsenal, while they will pay a compensation fee for 23 year old right-back Ryan McLaughlin to Oldham Athletic, who left Liverpool after suffering a series of injuries which halted his progress a couple of years ago.
Welsh winger Gwion Edwards has got a transfer to Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee. The 25 year old had put in a formal transfer request earlier in the month.
Dutch defender Darren Sidoel has left Ajax to move to Reading.
Veteran midfielder Darren Pratley has joined Charlton Athletic. The 33 year old had been Bolton Wanderers captain before his release in the summer.
Swindon Town have signed midfielder Jak McCourt on a free transfer after his release from Chesterfield.
Chelsea's Todd Kane has gone back out on loan for his 8th club. The 24 year old has yet to make an appearance for Chelsea's first team, but will now get a chance to make a mark for Hull City.
Former Manchester City youngster James Horsfield has moved on a free transfer from Netherlands Eredivisie side NAC Breda to sign for Scunthorpe United.
Tunisia captain Wahbi Khazri has moved to Saint-Etienne from recently relegated Sunderland for an undisclosed fee of just over £6m.
Manchester City winger Isaac Buckley-Ricketts has been sold to Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee, Posh's 14th signing of the summer.
A double loan signing has boosted Derby County's hopes of promotion under rookie manager Frank Lampard jr. Lampard has raided former club Chelsea to pick up highly-rated 19 year old midfielder Mason Mount and Liverpool for winger Harry Wilson. The pair are both on season-long loans.
Daley Blind has completed his return to Ajax, after Manchester United sold the Netherlands defender for a fee of around £14m.
Sampdoria have paid a £900,000 loan fee to get Juventus goalkeeper Emil Audero on loan for the season.
Argentinian right winger Ignacio Pussetto has moved to Italy's Serie A. Udinese have paid a fee of over £7m to get the 22 year old from Huracan in the Argentinian Primera Division.
Nigerian League Suspended
Nigeria's domestic league, which was due to resume on the 18th July after a break for the World Cup, has been postponed indefinitely as an argument over who is in charge of the Nigerian football scene. Despite serving a ban imposed by FIFA, Chris Giwa claims to control the Nigerian Football Federation, while FIFA recognise Amaju Pinnick as the president of NFF. The League Management Company has stated: "The decision is based on the current adverse circumstances in the administration of football in the country as a result of which sponsors, partners and service providers have expressed strong concerns and are reviewing their involvement in the league." FIFA have threatened Nigeria with a ban from international competition if Giwa does not step down.
Panama Manager Steps Down
Former Colombia and Ecuador manager Hernan Dario Gomez has stepped down as Panama manager to return to take charge of Ecuador again. The Colombian had led Panama to their first ever World Cup where they scored their first ever goal at the finals, though lost every game to finish bottom of their group.
Hart Joins City Tour Squad
Manchester City have named their squad for their pre-season tour of the USA and included Joe Hart, as well as new signing Riyad Mahrez. Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy will join the party later in the month.

Iceland Manager Steps Down
Iceland's part-time dentist manager Heimir Hallgrimsson has quit as manager of the national side after 7 years involvement with the team. Hallgrimsson was known for his unusual practices, other than continuing to work as a dentist, when time allowed, he would do things such as hold a fans meeting the night before each game in a bar to explain the team, tactics and formation to be used the following day.
Nearly Half A Million Spent In Sponsor Search
The owner of West Ham United's London Stadium home ground have spent a total of £447,000 in the search for a naming rights partner. The London Legacy Development Corporation are funded via taxpayers' money, as the stadium loses millions a year. So far their search for a naming partner has fallen flat, as both Vodafone and Mahindra pulled out of a deal after showing interest.
