Transfers
Hibernian have completed the loan signing of young Ghana winger Thomas Agyepong from Manchester City, subject to receiving a visa and work permit. The 21 year old will replace another Man City winger, Brandon Barker, who spent last season on loan at Hibs.
Watford's Austria under-21 goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann has moved to Kilmarnock on loan for the season.
Teenage defender Jordan Williams has moved to Barnsley from Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee.
Another undisclosed fee of just over £5m has been spent as former Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn moves to Derby County from Ipswich Town. Ipswich have swiftly moved to strengthen with a double signing from Shrewsbury Town, bot also for undisclosed fees. Midfielder Jon Nolan and defender Toto Nsiala had both handed in transfer requests after Ipswich's initial bids had been rejected.
Derby have added to their signing of Waghorn with left back Scott Malone joining from Huddersfield Town, once again for an undisclosed fee.
Middlesbrough have taken striker Jordan Hugill on a season-long loan deal from West Ham United.
Shrewsbury Town have moved to fill the gap left by the sale of Nolan with the loan signing of Greg Docherty from SPFL side Rangers for the season.
Veteran goalkeeper Lee Camp has joined Birmingham City from Cardiff City on a free transfer.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the club record signing of Spanish winger Adama Traore from Middlesbrough after meeting his £18m release clause.
Former Liverpool left-back Brad Smith has joined Major League Soccer team Seattle Sounders on loan for the season from Bournemouth.
Free agent striker A-Jay Leitch-Smith has signed for Morecambe following his summer release by Shrewsbury.
Aston Villa have beaten Celtic to the signing of Scotland midfielder John McGinn from Hibs for an undisclosed fee.
Chelsea have broken the world record fee for a goalkeeper set just a few days ago by Liverpool's signing of Alisson from AS Roma. The Stamford Bridge club have paid around £72m to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao, to replace Thibaut Courtois, who has moved to Real Madrid for around £31.5m. Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic has moved the other way on loan as part of the Courtois deal.
A Brazilian winger with a famous name, Jonathan Cafu has left Girondins Bordeaux to join Red Star Belgrade on loan. Bordeaux have strengthened their squad with the £3m signing of Croatian midfielder Toma Basic from Hajduk Split.
Celta Vigo has paid around £4.5m to sign Danish midfielder Mathias Jensen from Nordsjaelland.
Young midfielder Emerson Hyndman has moved for a second loan spell in Scottish football. The 22 year old has previously spent a season on loan with Rangers, but this time he will be at Hibs on loan from Bournemouth.
Napoli have spent over £10m to sign French full-back Kevin Malcuit from LOSC Lille.
Izaguirre Closes On Return To Celtic
Honduras international left-back Emilio Izaguirre is closing in on a return to Celtic just a season after leaving them. Izaguirre's two-year deal with Saudi League side Al-Fayha was terminated so that he can return to the Scottish champions, where he had spent seven seasons before his move to Saudi Arabia. The 32 year old is seen as cover for Scotland international Keiran Tierney.
Wolves Set To Sign Dendoncker
Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on the signing of Anderlecht's Belgium international midfielder Leander Dendocker. The 23 year old has six caps for Belgium and came through the youth ranks at Anderlecht.
