Review of the Day

Transfers

Big spending Stoke City have brought in yet another player for new boss Gary Rowett's return to the Tony Pulis kick and rush hoofball style of play. Rowett, otherwise known as Pulis without the cap, has taken midfielder Ryan Woods on loan until January, when the 24 year old will sign a permanent deal with the Potters.

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has joined Aston Villa on a season long loan deal.

Hamilton Academical have plucked midfielder Kieran Monlouis from the English non-league scene.

Early Premier League pacesetters Liverpool have sent goalkeeper Loris Karius to Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas on a two year loan deal.

Galatasaray have paid just under £1m in loan fee to take Stoke City's Senegal midfielder Badou Ndiaye for the season. Seems like a massive over payment for a loan of such an average player to me! I would have thought that would be about the right price for a permanent transfer personally.

Tan Claims Cardiff Have What Is Needed To Survive In The Prem

Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan took a break from his day job as a Bond villain to claim that Neil Warnock has the players and the team spirit in place to survive in the Premier League. Having brought in the likes of Josh Murphy (barely Championship level) and Bobby Reid (Championship level) to bolster the squad, Tan said: "I think last season Neil proved the bookies and pundits wrong so I believe we have a good chance. We believe we have enough good players to stay in the league and we have the team spirit. Four years ago I did not really get along with the manager [Malky Mackay], but me and Neil work together and speak often." Hard to believe he did not get on with Malky Mackay though, I mean it is not like Mackay is a racis....oh wait.

Charlton Fans Use Crisps In Their Latest Protest Against Duchatelet

Charlton Athletic fans have had four and a half years to scrape the protest barrel dry, including bombarding the pitch with plastic pigs, oddly. After club staff were banned from eating lunch at their desks, as the owner, Roland Duchatelet's latest cutback has seen the working hours of cleaners reduced, the fans caused a halt in the game against Fleetwood Town by hurling packets of crisps onto the pitch. Duchatelet has become a hate figure in South London for his running of the Addicks and the Belgian has now told staff that some bonuses will not be paid.

Leeds In The Pink

Norwich City might have to rethink their ludicrous attempt to lower the testosterone level of opponents by painting the away dressing room pink after a hiding at the hands of Leeds United has made it two home losses out of three for the Canaries.

Lopetegui Thinks La Liga USA Game Will Not Happen

Real Madrid's head coach Julen Lopetegui has given his backing to the players' union in their fight against holding one game per season overseas in the US. Lopetegui said: "I can't see it happening. That's my opinion. I'm with the players on this one. They've got arguments and reasons to think what they do."

Emery Denies Ozil Bust Up

ESPN Brazil (why Brazil? Could they still have a grudge against Emery as he did not favour their 'golden boy' Neymar?) were reporting that midfielder Mesut Ozil was dropped by Arsenal for the 3-1 win over West Ham United after the German had a training ground bust up with new head coach Unai Emery. Emery said: "Why is this information out there? It isn't true. He left training because he was going to his home because he is sick."

Verratti Aids Disabled Child

After seeing a social media appeal for help from a father in Bologna, after his disabled child's school was burgled twice in the same week and the computers that the boy uses to communicate had been stolen, Paris Saint-Germain star Marco Verratti was moved enough to pay for a replacement computer at a cost of 10,000 euros.
