Ramsey Rules Out January Move

Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey has ruled out a January move from Arsenal after new contract talks collapsed. With his contract ending in the summer, Arsenal's last chance to recoup some money from the 27 year old is in January, but Ramsey has stated he will not be moving then. Ramsey said: "I am contracted to Arsenal and I am going to do my best now this season to try and achieve something special. Everything has been going great with the club. We thought we were in a position where we had agreed a deal but that's no longer the case. So I just have to carry on playing my football and do my best for Arsenal this season, and I'll leave the rest with the club now. That's a decision they (Arsenal) have made and things happen in football. You just have to get on with it and carry on playing the best I can. That's all I am concentrating on and giving my best for Arsenal."

PSG's Champions League Hammering Of Red Star Investigated For Match-Fixing

After a Red Star Belgrade official allegedly placed a bet of almost 5m euros on his side losing by 5 goals, French officials are investigating a potential match-fixing of the Champions League Group C match between Paris Saint-Germain and Red Star Belgrade this month. UEFA alerted the French National Finance Prosecutor. The two sides are 3rd and 4th in Group C, currently, with Napoli and Liverpool the two other sides in their group. Both clubs deny any involvement in match fixing. A Red Star statement read: "FC Red Star with the highest anger and abomination rejects the story. The article can harm and bring big damage to our club's reputation and that is why we insist that Uefa and investigators in Serbia and in France investigate the whole story and get the truth. Today's technologies and other mechanisms are so improved that it is basically impossible to leave this case unsolved. Red Star expects to get the truth at short notice and remove any doubt about our involvement in possible wrongdoing."
