Transfers

Defender Jasser Khmiri has become the first Tunisian to enter Major League Soccer after the 21 year old signed for Vancouver Whitecaps. The centre back left Stade Tunisien to sign a 3 year contract for the Canadian club with an option for a 4th year.

Toulouse midfielder Stephane Mbia has moved to joined Chinese side Wuhan Zall on a free transfer.

Crystal Palace defender Jaroslaw Jach has moved out on loan. Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol have taken the Polish centre back on loan.

Jenkins Resigns From Swans Role

After Huw Jenkins took over as chairman of Swansea City in 2002, he has overseen them climb from the foot of the EFL table in League Two all the way up to regular football in the Premier League, before he lost his way. The 55 year old has finally responded to vocal criticism of his recent reign by resigning, saying: "It comes with great sadness but I feel I've been left with little or no option [but] to leave my position." A Swansea club statement put the boot in on Jenkins: "There can be no disguising the fact recruitment has been extremely disappointing. For the past several transfer windows. It has left the club in a weakened position where strong action had to be taken to rectify the situation. Hopefully this is an opportunity for a new chapter in the club's development. It is an opportunity to rejuvenate, to bring in fresh methods of working and move forward with a strong decision-making process."

New Celtic Signing's Loan Falls Through

Celtic's new signing from American college football, Andrew Gutman, has had his proposed loan move to soon-to-be Major League Soccer side Nashville cancelled after the MLS rejected the move. Gutman was signed after a trial spell following an impressive season for the Indiana Hoosier's, where he won the Hermann Trophy for the best college footballer in the US.

Ancelotti Confirms Hamsik In China Talks

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the club's all-time record goalscorer, Marek Hamsik, is talking to clubs in China over a possible move. The 31 year old Slovakian midfielder has scored 121 goals for the Neapolitans in over 500 appearances, but Napoli are willing to let him leave. Ancelotti said: "Talks are in progress. If he wants a new experience, we are inclined to make it happen."

PSG Dismiss 'Pseudo-Poll'

After a poll by French radio station RTL suggested 84% of their listeners think Neymar provokes defenders, PSG responded with the statement: "We say stop to these pseudo-polls which will have no other effect than to move away from our championship the greatest geniuses of this football which is our shared passion." Neymar has been heavily criticised for goading defenders during games, even before moving to Europe, and was recently told by Strasbourg defender Anthony Goncalves not to "go blubbering" after he was taken off injured last month. So, what is a pseudo-poll anyway?

Bordeaux Accuse Fulham Of Tapping Up

Girondins Bordeaux's president Frederic Longuepee has hit out at Fulham's efforts to sign Youssouf Sabaly on deadline day, claiming the Cottagers had not spoken to the club until after they had agreed a deal with the player. Longuepee told RMC: "I'm astonished that a club dared contact a player without talking to the club first. We received an offer at 8.03pm. There was a clause in his contract that would have allowed us to do a transfer, but Fulham behaved badly. Sabaly expressed a desire to go, but we're counting on him for the second half of the season."
