Contracts

Brighton & Hove Albion have given Gaetan Bong a year's extension, taking the left-back up until 2020.

AC Milan's teenage keeper Alessandro Plizzari has extended his contract with the club until 2023.

English goalkeeper Joe Lewis has agreed a new five year deal with Aberdeen, which will tie him to the club until 2024.

West Ham United full-back Pablo Zabaleta has extended his contract by a year until 2020.

 

Transfers

Fulham have confirmed that Ryan Babel will leave the club in the summer.

Veteran German keeper Rene Adler is to retire in the summer when his contract with 1.FSV Mainz 05 expires.

Italian midfielder Andrea Bertolacci is to leave leave AC Milan at the end of his contract.

Bayern Munich are set to release Rafinha and Franck Ribery in the summer. They will also sign young forward Jann-Fiete Arp from Hamburg for just over £2m.

Swansea City's Dutch winger Luciano Narsingh is to leave the club in the summer.

Watford's Gambian midfielder Sulayman Marreh is to join Belgian club KAS Eupen in the summer.

Sunderland are releasing Dutch goalkeeper Robbin Ruiter in the summer.

Inter Milan left back Cristian Ansaldi is joining Torino in the summer for just over £2m.

Bryan Cristante will swap Atalanta for AS Roma in a deal worth just under £19m.

Sampdoria are set to sign Italian goalkeeper Emil Audero from Juventus for around £18m. Juventus are also selling striker Alberto Cerri to Cagliari for just over £8m. Italian midfielder Stefano Sturaro will also be leaving in a just under £15m deal to join Genoa, along with Andrea Favilli making the same move for over £6m. Incoming to Juve is Benjamin Mokulu Tembe from Carpi.

Valencia are to sign Spanish defender Jorge Saenz from CD Tenerife for less than £2m. They are also signing winger Manu Vallejo for less than £5m from Cadiz.

Hamburg are to sign Jan Gyamerah on a free transfer from VfL Bochum.

Former Liverpool centre-back Martin Skrtel is to be released by Fenerbahce in the summer.

Parma are to sign Mattia Sprocati from Lazio. Lazio are also releasing Martin Caceres.

Barcelona are signing young Brazilian right-back Emerson from Atletico-MG for just over £10m.

Sassuolo are signing Turkish defender Merih Demiral from Alanyaspor for just over £6m.

Real Sociedad are to sign young central defender Modibo Sagnan from Lens for just over £4m.

Stoke City is to release Scottish duo Charlie Ada and Darren Fletcher at the end of the season. Danish keeper Jakob Haugaard is also leaving.

 

Bassini To Provide Proof

Former Watford owner Laurence Bassini has committed to showing the English Football League proof of funding for his prospective takeover of Bolton Wanderers. Bassini met EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey on Tuesday and Bassini has been granted an extension to prove he can afford the takeover. Bolton have also confirmed that they will be able to fulfil their fixture with Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

 

Tanzania Call Up 15 Year Old

Emmanuel Amuneke, Tanzania's Nigerian coach, has called up 15 year old starlet Kelvin John Pius in his initial 39-man AFCON squad. Amuneke has also called up Claryo Boniface from the under-20s. Amuneke said: "I believe it is time we start to build a team and think of the future. We need to start to think of the youth and see how we can start to integrate in the system. The squad is not just for the Afcon but also the CHAN after that. So as the technical team we are planning how we can switch straight to CHAN after the Afcon."

 

Liverpool Condemn Fountain Attacks

Liverpool have stated their disgust with fans who have been shown on social media pushing people into fountains in Barcelona and then taunting them. Chief executive Peter Moore said: "We proudly sing that we've conquered all of Europe. But let's treat this beautiful city with the respect that it deserves, and act in a manner that is befitting of LFC. By all means have a good time, but we are Liverpool, and as such, let's visit here with grace and humility."

 

Colin Fined

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has been fined £20,000 for comments he made about Premier League officials, when he called them the "worst in the world" but escaped a touchline ban. An FA statement said: "Neil Warnock has been fined £20,000 for commenting on the match official following the Premier League game between Cardiff City and Chelsea. Whilst the manager denied three breaches of FA Rule E3, they were subsequently found proven during an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing. Comments he made in a post-match interview with the BBC, and a post-match interview with Sky Sports, were found to be improper as they questioned the integrity of the match official and/or implied bias. In addition, comments he made in a Talksport radio interview on were found to constitute improper conduct and/or bring the game into disrepute."

 

Ederson Denies Support For Tommy Robinson

The founder of EDL Tommy Robinson had posted on social media a picture of himself and Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, claiming that he had the Brazilian's full backing in his campaign as an Independent candidate in the European Parliament elections. Ederson denied backing Robinson replying: "People have made me aware of who this guy is. I definitely [do] not support this guy or his ideas. He just stopped me for a picture. I had no idea who he was."

 

England To Play In Southampton

England are set to face Kosovo in their Euro 2020 qualifying match at Southampton's St Mary's Stadium in September. It will be the first time the two countries have faced each other.

 

Casillas Suffers Heart Attack

Legendary Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas is recovering in hospital following a heart attack on Wednesday morning. The former Real Madrid keeper was training with current club Porto when he "suffered an acute myocardial infarction". A Porto statement said: "The work session was promptly interrupted to provide assistance to the Porto goalkeeper, who is currently at the Hospital CUF Porto. Casillas is well, stable and his heart problem [is] solved." He remains in hospital for observation.
