Contracts

Former Manchester City striker Ishmael Miller has signed a new deal with Tranmere Rovers. The 32 year old joined in January but injury problems saw him struggle, he now has another 6 months to make an impact.

Augsburg full-back Raphael Framberger has signed a 5 year contract.

Goalkeeper Eric Delschlagel has signed a 1 year deal with Borussia Dortmund.

Young French Attacking midfielder Florian Chabrolle has agreed a 2 year contract with Olympique Marseille.

 

Transfers

Cardiff City have signed three players as they look for a quick return to the Premier League. Wales international Will Vaulks has arrived from Rotherham United for a fee of around £2.1m. Joe Day has left Newport County on a free transfer to make the short move to Cardiff and centre-back Curtis Nelson has also arrived on a free from Oxford United.

Norwich City defender Sean Raggett has joined Portsmouth on loan for the season.

Joe Morrell has joined Lincoln City on loan from Bristol City.

A trial last season was enough to persuade Rotherham United to sign French winger Julien Lamy from French 5th tier side Stade Plabennecois Football.

Goalkeeper Frank Fielding has signed for Millwall following his release from Bristol City after 6 years with the Robins.

Liverpool have made their first signing of the summer in the shape of 17 year old centre-back Sepp van den Berg from Dutch side PEC Zwolle for a fee of around £1.3m initially.

Northern Ireland international striker Conor Washington has signed for Hearts. Washington was released by Sheffield United at the end of the season.

Barcelona have signed Neto from Valencia for a fee of over £20m, after selling them Jasper Cillesen on Wednesday.

Sevilla have spent over £12m to sign Spanish midfielder Joan Jordan from Eibar.

Ajax have paid just under £1m to sign Portugese keeper Bruno Varela on loan from Benfica.

Hellas Verona have signed defender Amir Rrahmani from Dinamo Zagreb for under £2m.

Ante Budimir has joined Mallorca from Crotone for just over £1m.

1.FSV Mainz 05 have sent Gerrit Holtmann on loan to SC Paderborn.

Eintracht Frankfurt have paid over £8m to sign Djibril Sow from BSC Young Boys.

Saul Garcia has moved to CD Alaves from Deportivo La Coruna.

Augsburg have signed Danish left-back Mads Pedersen from Nordsjaelland.

SM Caen have gone down an unusual route for their new signing as they have added Congolese right-back Arnold Issoko from Indian Super League side Mumbai City.

Sheraldo Becker has moved from ADO Den Haag to Union Berlin on a free transfer.

Osasuna have spent over £2m on Argentine winger Chimy Avila from San Lorenzo.

Australian A-League side Central Coast Mariners have signed Ziggy Gordon after he left Hamilton Academical.

Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho has joined Sporting Clube de Portugal.

 

Hemmings New North End Chairman

Craig Hemmings has been chosen as the new chairman of Preston North End, a position that had been vacant for a while. Hemmings said: "I am delighted to take up the position. My family's connections with PNE have been in place for almost five decades."

 

Leeds Look To Re-Sign Harrison

Manchester City's Jack Harrison is closing in on a return to Leeds United for a second season on loan. The 22 year old joined Leeds for the season after making the move from fellow City Group side New York City FC to Man City in January 2018. He has yet to play a competitive game for the Manchester side.

 

Goodwin Set For St Mirren Return

Former club captain Jim Goodwin has agreed to become the new manager of St Mirren following Oran Kearney's exit. Goodwin has been in charge of part-timers Alloa Athletic, who he kept in the Scottish Championship last season.

 

Bruno Joins Seagull Coaching Staff

Brighton & Hove Albion fan favourite Bruno has joined the club's coaching staff. The 38 year old, who only retired in the summer, will work alongside new manager Graham Potter as senior player development coach. Potter said: "I am aware of Bruno's influence at the club, both on and off the field, and we're delighted he's agreed to stay on in this new role."

 

Turnbull's Bhoys Move Falls Through

After discovering that David Turnbull needed immediate preventative knee surgery Celtic cancelled his transfer. The 19 year old was due to make a £3.25m move from Motherwell but new terms could not be agreed between the two clubs after the problem was discovered. Turnbull is set to be out for "an extended period".

 

Demichelis Takes Coaching Role

Former Argentina defender Martin Demichelis has taken up a new role as the coach of Bayern Munich's U19 team in his first coaching role. Demichelis spent 7 years as a Bayern player after joining them in 2003.
