Contracts

Real Betis midfielder Wilfrid Kaptoum has signed a contract extension.

Akin Famewo has signed a new deal at Norwich City, tying him down until 2023.

Sheffield United have awarded manager Chris Wilder with a four and a half year contract, with a club option to extend the deal by a further year.

 


Transfers

Arsenal have sent teenage midfielder Emile Smith Rowe to Huddersfield Town on loan.

Lecce have taken Alessandro Deiola on loan from Cagliari.

Crystal Palace have taken Turkish striker Cenk Tosun on loan from Everton.

Portugese forward Andre Pereira has joined Real Zaragoza on loan from Porto.

Parma have signed Slovenian midfielder Jasmin Kurtic on loan from SPAL.

Luis Perea has joined Alcorcon on loan from Osasuna.

Chelsea youngster Marc Guehi has joined Swansea City on loan.

Wilfrid Kaptoum has moved to Almeria after they paid a £450,000 loan fee to Real Betis.

Italian right-back Riccardo Fiamozzi has joined Empoli on loan from Lecce.

A loan fee of £1.8m has been paid by Girondins Bordeaux for Remi Oudin on loan from Stade Reims.

Famalicao have taken Racine Coly on loan from OGC Nice.

Chilean winger Jeisson Vargas has left Montreal Impact on a free transfer to join La Calera.

MLS side Atlanta United have signed Anton Walkes from Portsmouth.

Blackpool striker Ryan Hardie has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan for the rest of the season.

Salford City have signed Oldham Athletic forward Emmanuel Dieseruvwe on loan.

Ipswich Town winger Jordan Roberts has signed for Gillingham on loan.

Fleetwood Town have spent an undisclosed fee on Leeds United full-back Lewis Coyle.

Lincoln City have signed four players, Max Melbourne and Tayo Edun on permanent deals and Tyreece John-Jules and Conor Coventry on loan. Melbourne was on loan from West Bromwich Albion, which has been turned into a permanent deal. Edun was a similar deal but with Fulham. John-Jules from Arsenal and Coventry from West Ham United have arrived until the end of the season.

Marc Bola has returned to Blackpool on loan from Middlesbrough.

St Mirren have signed Norwich City defender Akin Famewo on loan.

Aiden Keena has joined Hartlepool United as Heart of Midlothian's new manager Daniel Stendel continues his clearout.

Kilmarnock winger Dom Thomas has joined Dunfermline Athletic to replace Greg Kiltie that Killie recalled from the Pars the day before.

Philadelphia Union have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Jamiro Monteiro from Metz. The fee could reach $2m for the Cape Verde international who spent last season on loan with Union.

Patrick Cutrone has joined Fiorentina on an 18-month loan deal with an option to make it permanent. The Italian striker only joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from AC Milan in the summer transfer window. Fiorentina have paid a £2.7m loan fee.

Central defender Richard Stearman has been released by Sheffield United and joined Huddersfield Town on a free transfer.

League One Ipswich Town have loaned Toto Nsiala to Bolton Wanderers.

Sunderland have signed Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty on a free from Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08.

Carlisle United have paid an undisclosed fee for Derby County defender Max Hunt.

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Ben Gladwin has signed for MK Dons on a free transfer.

Empoli have taken Italian winger Gennaro Tutino on loan from Empoli.

 


Injury Round-Up

Everton midfielder Andre Gomes is to return to training next week as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury. He was expected to miss the rest of the season, but now Everton are hopeful he will be fit to play some part in the final games as he is ahead of schedule.

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire's hip injury has turned out to be less serious than feared and the club are hopeful he will be fit to face Norwich City.

 


US College Player Leaks Transfer On Dating App

US college football Jesus 'Chino' Perez has not officially made a move anywhere, though he was drafted by Manchester City's Major League Soccer sister club New York City FC with their first pick of the 2020 SuperDraft. However he recently updated his profile on Tinder to read: "first time in Europe, footballer for Dundalk FC." As we all know, people lie on their profiles on dating apps, it will be interesting to see who he does end up with.

 


Addicks Promote Gallen

Charlton Athletic have promoted Steve Gallen from his role as head of recruitment to director of football. The 46 year old joined the Addicks after nearly 20 years with Queens Park Rangers. Charlton's new chairman Matt Southall said: "He buys into the model that we're looking to implement. He's knowledgeable and he's got a great track record. He's shown me in the short time I've been here that he can deal with the agents and the clubs and this title gives him authority."

 


Man City Fan Gets 5 Year Ban For Racial Abuse Of City Player

A Manchester City supporter has received a ban from football matches for 5 years after pleading guilty to racist language aimed towards Man City forward Raheem Sterling after the England forward scored against Bournemouth in December 2018. Ian Baldry was also ordered to carry out 200 hours of community service. One of his friends, James McConell, is also set for sentencing after admitting racial abuse towards stewards and then Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings during the same match.
