Football News: Day of misinformation at Ibrox

It would seem that the information leaving Rangers for the media has been under scrutiny in the last day.

Following the SPFL tribunal over the fee Dundee United should pay Rangers for young midfielder Charlie Telfer, Rangers released a statement accusing Dundee United of trying to take advantage of Oldco Rangers administration and subsequent liquidation by accusing the Tanadice club of arguing that due to liquidation in 2012 they should only pay Rangers 2 years of develoment for Telfer. Dundee United later strongly denied this and the statement from Rangers was changed and the accusation removed.

Not long after, Rangers Chariman, David Somers also confirmed that the released attendance was not correct for the Saturdays home game against Cowdenbeath as season ticket holders who did not attend the game were included in the final number.

All of this comes at the same time as it was announced that Norman Creighton, Non Executive Director since November 2013 had left his position on the board.
