Former Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Urby Emanuelson has extended his deal with Utrecht until 2023.

Osasuna have given Unai Garcia a new contract which runs until 2023.

Teenage goalkeeper Filippo Rinaldi has signed a new 3 year contract with a 2 year club option with Parma.

Transfers

Gillingham have taken Joe Lumley on emergency loan from Queens Park Rangers. The 25 year old QPR keeper is covering for first choice keeper Jack Bonham, who suffered concussion against Ipswich Town on Tuesday.

Toulouse forward Aaron Leya Iseka has signed for FC Metz on loan.

A Major League Soccer deadline day move by Inter Miami for Manchester United's unwanted Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero fell through at the last moment.

Injury Round-Up

Southend United are to be without left-back Nathan Ralph for the rest of the after scans revealed he damaged a cruciate knee ligament against Salford City.

Norwegian defender Kristoffer Ajer is likely to miss the Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen on Sunday. Ajer went off with a groin problem in the second half of Celtic's 2-2 draw with LOSC Lille in the Europa League. Celtic manager Neil Lennon said: "Losing Ajer was a blow because he's been playing really well. He felt his groin go, so it's not great by the looks of things. We'll have to see how long he'll be out for. He'll be a doubt for Sunday."

Neymar has been ruled out of Paris Saint-Germain's games until after the November international break with a thigh injury picked up during PSG's 2-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday. The Brazilian is also expected to miss Brazil's international games.

Cristiano Ronaldo is finally able to return from self-isolation after 19 days following a negative cv test.

Managerial Changes

Colin Calderwood has taken up a role with Blackpool as assistant head coach. The Scot has been out of work since leaving the job of Cambridge United's head coach in January.

Cypriot side Apoel are having talks with Mick McCarthy over their manager's job. McCarthy left the Republic of Ireland job in April and is Cyprus to take in Apoel's game against league leaders Apollon and continue discussions.

Pep Guardiola has ruled out a return to Barcelona after Barca presidential hopeful Victor Font promised to bring Guardiola back to the Catalans. Guardiola said in a pre-match press conference: "I'm incredibly happy here. I'm delighted to be in Manchester, and hopefully, I can do a good job this season to stay longer." His current contract expires in the summer.

Former Newcastle United midfielder Emre Belozoglu has been appointed as sporting director at Fenerbahce.

MLS side LA Galaxy have sacked head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto, along with his twin brother assistant, Gustavo Barros Schelotto, assistant coach Ariel Pereyra, goalkeeping coach Juan Jose Romero and performance coach Javier Valdecantos. Dominic Kinnear will take charge on a caretaker basis for the rest of the 2020 season.

Disciplinary Charges

PSG president and chairman of the BeIn media group Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been cleared of corruption in a trial in Switzerland. Al-Khelaifi had been accused of giving gifts to then-FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke in order to secure broadcast rights for forthcoming World Cups. Valcke himself was found guilty of forging documents relating to those TV rights and given a 120-day suspended sentence and ordered to pay FIFA about £1.5m in restitution. He was cleared of accepting bribes and criminal mismanagement.

R.I.P. Nobby Stiles

Legendary former Manchester United midfielder Nobby Stiles has passed away at the age of 78 after a long battle against prostrate cancer and advanced dementia. Stiles was a big part of England's one and only World Cup winning team in 1966, when his toothless celebratory dance, with World Cup in one hand and dentures in the other, went down in football folklore. After leaving Man Utd, he played for Middlesbrough and Preston North End before moving into management with PNE and a brief spell in charge of West Bromwich Albion. He returned to United as their youth coach in 1989 and had a part to play in the development of the group of players that became known as the 'Class of 92'.
