Football News: Ron Vlaar and Fabian Delph both pushing for Aston Villa return.

Aston Villa have been given a double boost with news that both captain Ron Vlaar and midfielder Fabian Delph could both be fit for Saturday's derby against West Bromwich Albion.

Vlaar has been out since suffering a calf injury in early November while he was away on international duty with Holland. Delph is set to return ahead of schedule after dislocating his shoulder during training in October.

Both players trained today, Thursday, and Villa boss Paul Lambert will make a late decision on whether to recall either of the duo for Saturday's visit to The Hawthorns
