Contracts

Armenian winger Sargis Adamyan has extended his contract with TSG Hoffenheim until 2023.

Transfers

Free agent former Lincoln City goalkeeper Josh Vickers has signed for Rotherham United until the end of the season. Leaving the Millers is former Welsh international keeper Lewis Price, after a mutual termination of his contract was agreed.

Brazilian defender Jemerson has joined Corinthians from AS Monaco for a fee of just over £600,000.

Injury Round-Up

Cheltenham Town midfielder Elliot Bonds will miss the rest of the season due to rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament. The 20 year old Guyana international is on a season-long loan from Hull City.

Derby County's chief executive Stephen Pearce has tested positive for cv and that has meant that the chairman, Mel Morris, and manager, Phillip Cocu, have had to go into self-isolation. Assistant manager Chris van der Weerden is to take charge of the match against Barnsley.

Italy's head coach Roberto Mancini has also tested CV-positive and is in self-isolation at home.

Managerial Changes

Mansfield Town have appointed former Burton Albion, Sheffield United and Derby County manager Nigel Clough as their new boss. The Stags have not won a game since March and currently sit third from bottom of League Two. Clough only left Burton in May to help them cut costs as they struggled with the lack of fans in stadiums at the moment.

League Two Game Off Due To International Call-Ups

The game between League Two leaders Newport County and Grimsby Town on Saturday 14th November has been postponed as Newport have two players in each of the Wales full international squad and Wales' U21 squad.

Derby County Sale Close

The cousin of Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is set to buy Derby County from Mel Morris. Sheikh Khaled bin Saquer Zayed Al Nayhan has finally found a football club to buy after failing in bids for both Newcastle United and Liverpool in the last 2 years. According to a statement from the Rams, the deal is expected to be completed "very soon" and the owners' and directors' test from the English Football League has also been passed.

CAS Block El Haddadi Switch

Sevilla's Munir El Haddadi has been attempting to change his national allegiance from Spain to Morocco for a while. The Morocco Football Federation (FRMF) first asked FIFA, hoping to take advantage of the recent rule change allowing players who played for one nation under the age of 21 to change to another nation. FIFA blocked the move because El Haddadi played for Spain's under-21's after his 21st birthday and so did not meet the criteria to swap. CAS have now backed up that decision.

Moyes Calls For Return Of 5 Subs

Despite originally recommending against the continuation of 5 substitutions in Premier League matches, West Ham United manager David Moyes is now reconsidering. Moyes said: "I recommended that we would vote for three substitutes but I have looked at it again due to the player welfare issue. I really didn't expect so many injuries. No parties have been willing to give anything up in terms of competitions or matches. So, while I still think it benefits bigger squads and clubs with bigger budgets, I would consider the change back." Shame he never realised this at the time, or that it benefits all sides, as those with smaller squads and budgets tend to struggle towards the end of matches as their overworked players tire. Just having the option to bring on fresh legs, for a team that is getting less of the ball and so working harder, is a huge bonus.

Musiala Call-Up

Former Chelsea youngster Jamal Musiala, one of an increasing number of young English starlets who have moved to German football as he now plays for Bayern Munich, has received his first England U-21 call-up. Derby County defender Lee Buchanan has also been picked for the first time.
Goalkeepers: Brandon Austin (Tottenham), Josef Bursik (Stoke, on loan at Doncaster), Aaron Ramsdale (Sheffield United)
Defenders: Max Aarons (Norwich), Lee Buchanan (Derby), Marc Guehi (Chelsea, on loan at Swansea), James Justin (Leicester), Lloyd Kelly (AFC Bournemouth), Tariq Lamptey (Brighton), Jonathan Panzo (Dijon), Rhys Williams (Liverpool), Ben Wilmot (Watford)
Midfielders: Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund), Josh Dasilva (Brentford), Ebere Eze (Crystal Palace), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea, on loan at West Bromwich Albion), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Oliver Skipp (Tottenham, on loan at Norwich)
Forwards: Rhian Brewster (Sheffield United), Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea), Dwight McNeil (Burnley), Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich), Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal), Ryan Sessegnon (Tottenham, on loan at Hoffenheim)
