Madrid Trapped On Plane

Real Madrid were trapped on their plane for hours on Friday, after an icey runway prevented take off. Madrid were set to fly out to face Osasuna in La Liga but a snowstorm hitting the country caused problems. A Madrid spokesperson said: "They told us the outlook is bleak. The take-off runways are closed and that the ice-removing machines are for landing. We estimate that we have been here more than two hours. The sense of outrage is already irrepressible." It is being reported in Spain that the team had to wait for 5 hours in total before the plane was finally able to take off.
