Carlisle United have signed non-league striker Cedwyn Scott of Hebburn Town. The 22 year old graduate of Huddersfield Town's academy had been on trial with Newcastle United before trying his hand with Carlisle.

Following his release by Bradford City, Jackson Longridge has returned to Livingston.

Queens Park Rangers have loaned Aramide Oteh to Colchester United.

Tyreke Johnson has signed for Gillingham on a permanent deal after a loan to the Gills from Southampton began just this month.

New Belgian top-flight side Beerschot manager Will Still has surpassed Julian Nagelsmann as the youngest coach in Europe's top 15 leagues in the 21st century. Still is just 28 years, six months and 21 days old, three months and 15 days younger than Nagelsmann on his debut. Still is also the youngest ever head coach in Belgian professional football.

Disciplinary Charges

MK Dons manager Russell Martin has been given a one-match touchline ban and fined £1,500 after he "used abusive and insulting words towards a match official at the end of normal time. His behaviour in failing to leave the field of play and the technical area after subsequently being dismissed amounts to improper conduct."

Games Off

The League One game on Tuesday between Blackpool and Northampton Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Brizzle Make Loss

Bristol City's accounts for the 12 months ending May 2020 have been released and show that, despite a profit of £25m on player sales, their pre-tax losses were over £10m. With the figures only including the first few months of the closedown of football during the pandemic and subsequent closed doors matchs, matchday income only fell by £600,000 compared to the previous year. Chief executive Mark Ashton said: "We have had no matchday revenue from crowds since 7 March last year so we are under no illusions that the results for this year will be very sobering and we will have to cut our cloth accordingly. Overall we are in a stable financial position, with a team competing at the top end of the Championship, and a new state of the art training ground opening in the spring that will bring our first team and Academy together for the first time so we have a lot to look forward to."

Mothers In Profit

Motherwell managed to record a profit of almost £346,000 over the same period as Brizzle's £10m loss. Revenue rose, helped by the sale of James Scott to Hull City, to £4.95m, as the club finished 3rd according to points-per-game average after the Scottish Premiership was called early due to the pandemic.

Right To Dream Buyout

An Egyptian conglomerate has spent $120m to takeover the Right To Dream academy in Ghana. Started in 1999 by Tom Vernon, who had previously been Manchester United's head scout in Africa, the academy has grown from a small group of youngsters being trained on basic dust-filled pitches, to buy Danish top tier club FC Nordsjaelland in 2015. The academy focuses heavily on education, as well as football, and has already produced 20 full Ghanaian internationals. The new owners, ManSports, are to expand the operations with an academy in Egypt and are looking to explore "UK opportunities at club and academy level".
