Injury Round-Up

Swansea City striker Jordan Morris is out for the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury. The US international is on loan from Seattle Sounders with an option to make the deal permanent.

Blackburn Rovers are breathing a sigh of relief as forward Sam Gallagher's lung injury is not as serious as first thought. The 25 year old was taken to hospital on Saturday with a suspected punctured lung, but tests discovered it was badly bruised instead. Gallagher will still be out for several weeks.

Chelsea legend Paul Canoville is out of critical care, where he was placed after emergency surgery.

Aston Villa are investigating how news of Jack Grealish's injury leaked out ahead of their defeat by Leicester City at the weekend. Grealish is expected to be out for a month.

Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi has picked up a thigh injury. The Nigerian, who is on-loan from Liverpool, has been ruled out "for the forseeable future".

Managerial Changes

Bradford City's interim managerial pair Mark Trueman and Conor Sellars have been appointed as permanent joint managers.

Barrow have sacked Michael Jolley after just two months. Jolley's assistant manager Rob Kelly has been promoted to manager on a temporary basis.

Bristol Rovers have chosen Joey Barton (why?!?) as their new manager. Barton is their third manager of the season.

Championship side Bournemouth have given Jonathan Woodgate the head coach role until the end of the season. He took over on a temporary basis after Jason Tindall was on 3rd February.

Disciplinary Charges

Hamilton Academical have appealed against Jamie Hamilton's red card he received against Hibernian on Saturday. Accies have posted a still shot of the incident that they believe to show that Jamie Hamilton made no contact with Hibs' Martin Boyle.

Borussia Dortmund have apologised after a crowd of supporters broke lockdown protocol to gather outside the club's training ground to celebrate the 4-0 Ruhr derby win over Schalke on Saturday. A Dortmund statement read: "With all the understandable joy of winning the derby, there were public violations of the coronavirus rules during the team's return to the training ground last night, which will not be tolerated. Around 150-200 fans cheered the team outside the training ground, some of whom were not wearing masks and observing social distancing guidelines. Players celebrated with the fans - without leaving the bus - and in the exuberance some even filmed it. We can only apologise and promise to talk to the police and all those involved very soon about how such scenes can be completely ruled out in public in future." Dortmund were fined 75,000 euros over the incident for breaching pandemic regulations as players were filmed joining in the celebrations from inside the team bus without masks and not maintaining social distancing.

Bruce Confident Of Survival

Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is confident his team will avoid the drop into the Championship, despite losing 8 of their last 10 matches. Newcastle are now just 3 points clear of Fulham in the relegation places. Bruce said: "Fulham have had a good week and won a couple of games, which at the bottom end of the table is big. My message to the supporters is that I'm convinced we'll be OK."

SFA Apologise For Isolation Breach

The Scottish FA have apologised to Hibernian and Hamilton Academical after news came out that one of the assistant referees at their SPFL match on Saturday should have been self-isolating.

England Plan Fan Return

English Prime Minister Boris Johnson has revealed a four-part plan to lift lockdown restrictions in the country. The government are planning on running a series of test events in April to get fans back in stadia. If the tests work out ok clubs will be allowed "up to 10,000 people or 25% of total seated capacity, whichever is lower".
