Contracts

Dylan Bahamboula, Raphael Diarra and Kyle Jameson have all extended their deals with Oldham Athletic until the end of next season.

Experienced Argentine winger Angel Di Maria has extended his contract by a year to expire in 2022.

AS Roma full-back Rick Karsdorp has signed a new long-term contract, which runs until 2025.

 


Transfers

Teenage Sheffield Wednesday utility man Liam Shaw has signed a pre-contract to join Celtic in the summer when his contract at the Owls expires.

David Beckham's Major League Soccer side Inter Miami have signed free agent midfielder Joevin Jones.

French winger Samuel Grandsir has moved to LA Galaxy on a free transfer from AS Monaco.

MLS side Portland Timbers have released Argentine forward Tomas Conechny.

Ajax's teenage striker Brian Bobbey is to leave on a free transfer in the summer to join RB Leipzig, who beat off competition from Borussia Dortmund to clinch his signature.

Veteran free agent goalkeeper Lee Camp has signed for Swindon Town until the end of the season.

Oldham Athletic have released veteran defender David Wheater.

Vancouver Whitecaps have paid £3.27m to sign Caio Alexandre from Botafogo.

Real Salt Lake have taken Anderson Julio on loan from San Luis.

Mario Giuffredi, the agent of soon-to-be free agent Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj, has admitted that he has held talks with Paris Saint-Germain about his client joining them in the summer.

 


Injury Round-Up

Harrogate Town striker Josh March is out for the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury.

Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook has suffered a repeat of the anterior cruciate ligament injury he previously suffered in December 2018. Last time he was out until September 2019.

Everton have lost midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure for up to 10 weeks after he suffered a fracture in his foot.

Brighton & Hove Albion's flying wing-back Tariq Lamptey will not play again this season as he requires surgery on the hamstring injury he suffered in December. Forward Aaron Connolly is also out until after the international break due to a cracked rib.

 


Managerial Changes

Chris Wilder has left Sheffield United after a dispute with the owner over transfer funds.

South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe has been confirmed as the new president of the Confederation of African Football.

 


Disciplinary Charges

Referee Darren Drysdale, who was guilty of a clash with Ipswich Town midfielder Alan Judge, when the pair locked heads, has been given a backdated ban which means he is once again available to referee in the English Football League. The suspension ran between 19th February and 10th March. Drysdale has also been warned about his future conduct.

Middlesbrough have been charged with a failure to "conduct themselves in an orderly fashion". Serial offender Neil Warnock was angered by a late penalty awarded to Swansea City, in a 2-1 defeat for Boro.

Mexican international midfielder Marco Fabian has been suspended for 10 days and fined an undisclosed amount for his participation in a party, with numerous breaches of pandemic regulations uploaded to social media. The former Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder was seen in videos doing shots of tequila, along with Venezuelan singer DJ Adso, just days after his team Bravos de Juarez had lost their third game in a row.

 


Musiala Switch Approved

England Under-21 international Jamal Musiala has had his switch in allegiance to Germany ratified by FIFA. The 18 year old Bayern Munich 'wunderkind' was born and lived in Germany until moving to England aged 7, where he joined Chelsea's academy.

 


Man Utd Shares Sale

Manchester United's co-chairman Avram Glazer has put five million of his shares in the club up for sale, a sale which would see him pocket something in the region of £70m. The club has paid over £1bn in interest, repayment fees, dividends and other associated costs thanks to the Glazer's leveraged buyout, with gross debt up to £536m, but will not profit in anyway from the proceeds of the sale.
