Contracts

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is talking with AC Milan about signing a contract extension at the age of 39.

Manchester City's Belgium international midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has extended his contract to 2025.

Transfers

Major League Soccer side Minnesota United have signed Argentine forward Ramon Abila on loan from Boca Juniors.

Also in the MLS, New York City FC, one of Manchester City's sister clubs, have paid £82,000 to sign Alfredo Morales from Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Bayern Munich have confirmed that defender Jerome Boateng will leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.

USL team Orange County SC have signed Jack Imperato from Villareal.

Injury Round-Up

Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney has been ruled out for 4 to 6 weeks. There were fears the Scotland international would require knee surgery, but those were allayed after a scan, though he has sustained ligament damage.

Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi has tested positive for CV and is in isolation, as revealed by his wife on social media. Lazio themselves just announced that a member of the team's technical staff and some of his family had tested positive without naming who. But Gaia Lucariello Inzaghi posted: "Hello everyone. We wanted to tell you that unfortunately our whole family, after a swab done at home, tested positive for coronavirus. We are fine and in isolation as per protocol."

Atletico Madrid will be lacking bite from their attack over the next few weeks after Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez was ruled out due to an injury to his left lef, which saw him limp out of training.

Managerial Changes

Disciplinary Charges

Swindon Town, owner Lee Power, sports agency First Touch Pro Management and its company director Michael Standing are all charged with breaching FA regulations regarding the ownership and/or funding of the League One side. Standing had previously claimed to own 50% of the Robins' holding company when Power bought the club in 2013. Football Association regulations forbid agents to own clubs due to potential conflicts of interest. Power tried to sell Swindon last year but was unable to overturn an injunction blocking the sale.

Queens Park Rangers' striker Charlie Austin has been charged with violent conduct. The incident, in the 43rd minute of QPR's defeat to Nottingham Forest, was missed by match officials but caught on video.

Chad have been banned from global football indefinitely over government interference in running the country's football federation.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has been given a two-match ban in Ligue 1 following his sending off during the defeat to leaders Lille. Neymar, who was already on a yellow card, was sent off for a second yellow after a petulant reaction to a challenge which saw him shove Lille's Tiago Djalo. Neymar then tried to confront Djalo again on the way back to the dressing rooms.

The Pakistani Football Federation (PFF) has been suspended by FIFA with immediate effect due to third-party interference. There have been a number of issues in recent weeks, including protestors taking over the PFF headquarters in Lahore and the FIFA-appointed Normalisation Committee off PFF being removed and leadership handed over to Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah instead. I am a little confused by the way FIFA interfering is not considered third-party interference, but anyone else getting involved is. Surely FIFA appointing a 'Normalisation Committee' to the PFF is interference by a third-party?

Club Sales

The owner of Ipswich Town, Marcus Evans, has sold the club to an American investment fund. The fund, ORG, created a new company called Gamechanger 20 Ltd to buy 90% of the Suffolk club. Evans is to hold on to 5%, while American trio Brett Johnson, Berke Bakay and Mark Detmer holding the final 5%.

Mel Morris has agreed to sell Derby County to No Limit Sports Limited. No Limit are owned by Spanish businessman Erik Alonso and the deal remains subject to the EFL's owners and directors' test.

Boro To Host England

Two England friendlies in June are to be played at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium. England are playing Austria and Romania as preparation for the summer's European Championships. The Football Association are hoping that they will be able to have some fans attending the games.

Linesman Ridiculed For Haaland Autograph

One of the assistant referees in the Champions League tie between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund has been ridiculed in the media and online for approaching Erling Haaland to autograph his red and yellow cards on the way off the pitch after the game. The Romanian official, Octavian Sovre, was seen chasing after and then getting Haaland to sign the cards in TV footage broadcast on the night, to the bemusement of commentators and pundits everywhere. However it has since emerged that the linesman works with an autism charity and has been collecting signatures from footballers for the last five years, to auction off in order to raise funds for a centre to support adults suffering from autism. SOS Autism Bihor Association president Simona Zlibut said: "That autograph is for a noble cause. Maybe people don't know, but Tavi (Sovre) is directly involved in supporting this Association. He has helped us a lot all these years."
