Contracts

Blackburn Rovers youngster Joe Rankin-Costello has signed a 3-year contract.

Experienced former Stoke City player Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has extended his Bayern Munich deal by a further two years.

Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez has signed a new contract which expires in 2024.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has extended his contract until 2024.

 


Transfers

Port Vale have paid an undisclosed fee to sign Blackpool midfielder Ben Garrity.

Newport County have released Tom King, Josh Sheehan, Joe Ledley and Ryan Taylor.

Barrow have re-signed Josh Kay after new manager Mark Cooper decided he wanted to keep the winger who had been released in May.

Jack Whatmough has signed for Wigan Athletic on a free transfer from Portsmouth.

Former Liverpool youngster George Johnston has signed for Bolton Wanderers on a free from Feyenoord.

Lincoln City have released Harry Anderson.

Fleetwood Town have signed Brad Halliday from Doncaster Rovers on a free transfer. Leaving Fleetwood is Wes Burns, who is joining Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee.

Swansea City have released record signing Andre Ayew, former Rangers winger Barrie McKay, Kieron Freeman and former Real Madrid youngster Jordi Govea.

Ollie Turton has signed on a free transfer for Huddersfield Town from Blackpool.

Ross Callachan has joined Ross County on a free transfer from Hamilton Academical.

Evrton have released Theo Walcott, Joshua King, Yannick Bolasie, Josh Bowler and Muhamed Besic. Walcott is signing for former club Southampton.

Southampton have released winger Josh Sims.

Kilmarnock have let Greg Kiltie leave.

Empoli have signed Nicolas Haas from Atalanta.

Scottish midfielder Kevin McDonald has been released by Fulham.

Veteran winger Liam Feeney has been released by Blackpool.

Former Leeds United forward Jay-Roy Grot has been released by VfL Osnabruck.

Former Arsenal and Juventus striker Nicklas Bendtner has hung up his boots.

 


Injury Round-Up

The thigh injury suffered in a meaningless friendly against Austria has ruled Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold out of England's Euro 2020 campaign.

 


Managerial Changes

Bradford City have appointed Derek Adams as their new manager just a day after he left Morecambe claiming not to have had any contact with Bradford.

Aberdeen have appointed Zoe Ogilvie to their board, the first female board member in the club's 118-year history. Her daughter Francesca plays for Aberdeen's women's team.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed that Ronald Koeman will stay in charge of the first team, despite Jordi Cruyff joining in a "strategic role".

Hoyle Restructures Payment

Due to the financial difficulties caused by the pandemic, former Huddersfield Town owner Dean Hoyle has agreed to restructure the repayment of £34m he is due from the club. Hoyle was initially owed £45m after selling the club Phil Hodgkinson in May 2019. £24m was due to be paid by 31 August 2022 but Hoyle has agree to extend the date to 28 February 2025. Hoyle still owns 25% of the club and remains on the board of directors.
