Football News: MLS re-entry draft off to a slow start
The 4th draft of the year for the MLS is off to a tough start, with the first round seeing 17 of the teams pass on picking anyone.
The previous drafts the MLS held in 2014 were Dispersal, Expansion and Waiver and then this 4th one is the Re-Entry draft.
Just 3 players were selected from a field of around 60 possible players to choose from.
Most teams are not keen on the first round as their negotiating power is very limited and they tend to avoid anything except obvious bargains.
The second round offers them much better possibilities to get players signed up to contracts that are club friendly.
