Football News: Torres to the MLS?

Fernando Torres' time on loan at AC Milan looks to be getting cut short, with Milan looking to send the misfiring striker back to England.

The former Spain international has struggled since leaving Liverpool, with his reputation fallen a long way since Roman Abramovich okayed a £50million transfer to Chelsea for him.

Now, with little interest from major European clubs in him, an MLS club has spotted an opening for them to nip in and pick him up.

The very well-funded Toronto FC have already made contact in order to assess his interest in making the move over to play for them.

If the interest comes to something, Torres would take one of the designated player slots that were created in order to enable LA Galaxy to clinch the signing of David Beckham.
