Injury Round-Up

Young Manchester United winger Tahith Chong has suffered a groin injury in training while on loan with Birmingham City which has ruled him out for 4 months.

Reading manager Veljko Paunovic is in isolation after testing positive for CV.

Hibernian say they were reduced to just 8 available players by a CV outbreak at the club that forced the postponement of two matches.

After pulling out of Manchester United's 2-2 draw with Atalanta, centre-back Raphael Varane is a doubt for the Manchester derby at the weekend with a hamstring injury.

Managerial Changes

Hartlepool United of League Two are searching for a new manager after Dave Challinor left the role and is expected to take up the same job at National League side Stockport County. Hartlepool revealed that despite refusing Stockport permission to talk to Challinor, and that the approach was made via his agent rather than to the club, Challinor had made it clear he wanted to leave just a few months after signing a new 3-year deal.

Former Chelsea winger Damien Duff has been appointed as head coach of League of Ireland side Shelbourne. It is his first senior head coach role having recently been in charge of the club's Under-17 team after spells as an assistant coach with Celtic and the Republic of Ireland's national team.

Antonio Conte has taken charge of Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo. Conte won the league while in charge of Chelsea but has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan in the summer, following the club lifting the Serie A title for the first time in 11 years under his guidance.

Unai Emery has ruled himself out of contention for the vacant Newcastle United job and reaffirmed his commitment to Villareal.

Disciplinary Charges

Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter and his protege, French footballing legend Michel Platini, have both been charged with fraud among other offences in Switzerland. It is claimed that Blatter unlawfully arranged a transfer of 2million Swiss francs to Platini in 2011. Platini was the head of UEFA until forced to resign when both men were banned from football by FIFA.

Terriers Safe

Despite nine businesses owned by Huddersfield Town's majority owner Phil Hodgkinson going into administration, the club have said they are not affected. Hodgkinson owns 75% of the Terriers through his company called PURE Sports Consultancy, but the club say it is "legally unaffected" by the issues facing his other companies. Huddersfield stated: "Our board of directors would like to assure Town fans that the club remains able to meet its financial commitments over the short, medium, and long term."
