Leicester City have given their defender Wesley Fofana a new deal running until 2027.

Real Betis have given young striker Raul Garcia a new contract which will expire in 2025.

Coventry City midfielder Gustavo Hamer has extended his deal with the Sky Blues until 2024.

 


Transfers

After his release from Nottingham Forest, Rodrigo Ely has finally managed to find a new with the Brazilian defender signing for UD Almeria.

Bristol City have cancelled right-back Danny Simpson's contract by mutual consent.

 


Injury Round-Up

West Ham United are relieved to find out that Jarrod Bowen did not suffer a serious injury during the match against Liverpool. The 25-year-old former Hull City winger was taken off with a heel injury, but a scan has shown no significant damage.

 


Managerial Changes

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been appointed head coach of Cypriot team Omonia Nicosia.

Ukraine Invasion

Colchester United are to donate the gate receipts from their League Two match against Forest Green Rovers on 21st March to humanitarian aid efforts in Ukraine. They have also requested permission from the English Football League to wear a special blue and yellow kit, similar to the Ukraine national team's.

 


Toffees Turn Down Loan

Liverpool mayor Steve Rotheram has revealed that Everton would not be taking the full £45m funding package that had been improved by the city towards their new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium. The £30m loan that was available to them has been turned down, but they will still take a £15m grant from the council.
