Football News: Racing secure Apertura

Racing Club have secured the Apertura title in Argentina with a 1-0 win over Godoy Cruz on Sunday.

Ricardo Centurion's 49th minute goal was enough to keep Racing two points clear of River Plate, despite them also winning 1-0 against Quilmes.

River have been forced to settle for their first ever Copa Sudamericana trophy, which they won on Wednesday.

The title was Racing's first since 2001 and their 17th overall.
