Contracts

Veteran former Barcelona and Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has extended his deal with Real Betis to run until the end of next season.

Aston Villa have given Polish international right-back Matty Cash an extension which will end in 2027.

Egypt's sports minister Ashraf Sobhi has said that Mohamed Salah intends to sign a new deal with Liverpool, despite Sobhi's advice to leave the Anfield club.

Transfers

Young Georgian winger Georgiy Tsitaishvili has moved to Wisla Krakow on loan from Dynamo Kyiv.

Another young Georgian winger in the shape of Zuriko Davitashvili has joined Dinamo Batumi on a free transfer from Russian side Arsenal Tula.

Also joining the exodus from Russian football on a free transfer is Remy Cabella who has joined Montpellier from Krasnodar.

FC Seoul have signed In-beom Hwang on loan from Rubin Kazan.

AIK Stockholm have taken Jordan Larsson on loan from Spartak Moscow.

Nantes have released Anthony Limbombe.

ADO Den Haag have signed David Puclin on loan from Ukrainian Premier Liga side Vorskla Poltava.

Jack Young's loan move from Newcastle United to Wycombe Wanderers has been turned into a permanent deal.

Injury Round Up

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney is once again out with an injury. This time the Scottish full-back, nicknamed "biscuit hips" due to his perceived fragility while playing for Celtic, is likely to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury picked up in training.

Rangers will be without their star man, Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos, for the rest of the season. The 25-year-old needed surgery on a thigh injury.

Hibernian midfielder Kyle Magennis is also finished for the season. The 23-year-old picked up a knee issue while working on his recovery from a groin problem picked up in September.

Joining them on the sidelines is Luton Town midfielder Gabriel Osho, who has suffered a hamstring injury which has ended his season early.

Forest Green Rovers are facing up to a lengthy spell without their current top scorer Matty Stevens after he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Managerial Changes

Former Everton manager Ronald Koeman will return to the role of head coach of the Netherlands' national team following the World Cup in Qatar. Koeman will be replacing Louis van Gaal. In his previous spell as head coach Koeman led Holland into the 2019 UEFA Nations League final, where they lost to Portugal, and Euro 2020, though he left before the delayed tournament took place.

Luton Town have appointed Paul Hart as their new academy director in place of Andy Awford, who quit on Friday.

Disciplinary Charges

Freiburg have launched an appeal against the result against Bayern Munich, who fielded 12 players for a total of 17 seconds of playing time late in their 4-1 win. Bayern are chasing a 10th title in a row and currently have a 9-point lead over Borussia Dortmund, but could face having this result overturned under Bundesliga rules.

Burnley midfielder Dale Stephens has been fined £3,334 and banned from driving for 12 months after being caught driving while over the legal alcohol limit. The former Brighton & Hove Albion player was also ordered to pay costs and a £190 surcharge to fund victim services.

After criticising the decision to award him his 10th yellow card of the season on social media, Swindon Town's Harry McKirdy has been fined £1,000.

Ukraine Invasion

After a tweet suggesting the media were manipulating reporting on the war in Ukraine, Matt Le Tissier has "stepped aside" from a role as ambassador to his former club Southampton.

Russia's FA have dropped an appeal against their suspension from the FIFA World Cup. Poland were due to face Russia in a play-off semi-final, but will now get a bye to the final to face Sweden.
