Disciplinary Charges

Sheffield United's Oli McBurnie is being investigated after a video was circulated on social media which showed him stand on a Nottingham Forest fan after they invaded the pitch following Forest's play-off victory over the Blades. It has been claimed that McBurnie deliberately stamped on the prone fan though he says that he was merely trying to step over the man on the floor.

The same match also has led to a man being charged with assault occasioning ABH on Sheffield United's captain Billy Sharp who, like McBurnie, missed the match through injury and was on the sidelines to show support to his teammates. Sharp was headbutted while looking the other way and Robert Biggs is due to appear before magistrates on Thursday.

10 arrests have been made in Ireland as part of an investigation into alleged match-fixing in the League of Ireland. The police launched Operation Brookweed due to the Football Association of Ireland and UEFA raising suspicions about a number of League of Ireland games, which they believe had been fixed.
