Managerial Changes

In Major League Soccer, Charlotte FC have sacked head coach Miguel Angel Ramirez just 17 games into the team's first-ever season. His assistant, Mikel Antia, head fitness coach, Cristobal Fuentes Nieto, and first-team video analyst Luis Piedrahita are all also leaving. Christian Lattanzio is to take interim charge for the rest of the 2022 MLS season. Ramirez had collected 16 points from his 14 league matches in charge, leaving Charlotte sat in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.
Disciplinary Charges
Everton boss Frank Lampard has been fined £30,000 for his comments in the wake of the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in April. Lampard tried to claim that a decision not to award a penalty would have been seen differently if the challenge was on a Liverpool player. Everton even went as far as to whine to the PGMOL and ask why the decision was not reviewed further by VAR.
The Toffees are also facing a charge against their Brazilian forward Richarlison, for throwing a flare during the 1-0 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park. The 25-year-old picked up the flare, which had been thrown onto the pitch during celebrations after he scored, and threw it towards an empty area of the stands. Richarlison has been charged with improper conduct.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have overturned a previous ruling by its own disciplinary committee that Sao Tome e Principe had fielded an ineligible player during a preliminary round tie in qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. Sao Tome have been reinstated into the competition's qualifying and will replace Mauritius in Group A.
Milan To Be Sold
RedBird Capital, an American investment group with a stake in Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group, are set to buy a majority stake in AC Milan from Elliott Advisors. Elliott ended up with the club after previous owner Li Yonghong failed to meet some of the obligations involved in his takeover from Silvio Berlusconi in 2017. Milan were in serious financial trouble when Elliott inherited it a year later, but managed to recover sufficiently to win Serie A this season for the first time in 11 years. The deal values the Italian champions at £1bn.
Community Shield Moved
Next season's Community Shield between Manchester City and Liverpool is to be played at Leicester City's King Power Stadium on 30th July. It has been moved from its usual Wembley home due to the Women's Euro 2022 final taking place at Wembley the following day.
