Football News: Cup tie to be replayed

Chesterfield have been ordered to replay their 2nd round FA Cup tie against MK Dons after being found guilty of fielding an ineligible player( Georg Margreitter) in the first meeting.

The replay will be played to a finish with extra time and penalties if needed.

Chesterfield had argued they had verbal permission to play Margreitter however written permission was not forwarded to the FA by noon the day before the original fixture.

The game will be played at the earliest opportunity with the victors going on to play either Worcester City or Scunthorpe away in the 3rd round.
