DR Congolese club TP Mazembe have sacked head coach Franck Dumas and his entire coaching staff following the team being knocked out of the African Champions League before the group stage. Mazembe have been continental champions 5 times in the past. Pamphile Mihayo, who preceded Dumas as head coach, has been brought back for his third spell as the club's head coach.

Franck Kramer managed just four months in charge of Schalke 04 before he was sacked with the team sat in the Bundesliga relegation zone. They were knocked out of the German Cup on Tuesday with a 5-1 loss to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. He is the 5th coach to be fired in the German top flight this season already.

Disciplinary Charges

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been charged by the Football Association after being sent off against Manchester City. Klopp apologised for his actions, where he berated a referee's assistant after he failed to see a clear foul on Mohamed Salah, in the post-match press conference.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has claimed in court that he "did not participate in negotiations" over his transfer to Barcelona from Santos in 2013, simply signing what his father told him to. Neymar is one of 9 on trial accused of fraud and corruption over the move, which investment firm DIS, who owned 40% of the rights to Neymar, claims severely undervalued the true cost of the transfer. The other defendants are Neymar's parents, Barcelona, Santos, former Barca president's Josep Maria Bartomeu and Sandro Rosell and former Santos president Odilio Rodrigues.

Manchester United have been charged with failing "to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion" after their players reacted angrily to a disallowed goal against Newcastle United. Red Devil players surrounded referee Craig Pawson to protest the decision.

A panel of experts has found UEFA's organisation of the Champions League final in May to be "an abject failure". Organisers tried to put the blame onto fake tickets and the supporters themselves but the BBC's Panorama investigated and found that it was thanks to the fans, of both Real Madrid and Liverpool, staying calm that the disastrous organisation of the event did not lead to fatalities. Fans were left in a bottleneck for hours outside the stadium before the game, with turnstiles inoperable and were attacked by police who fired tear gas into groups with children, the elderly and disabled people amongst them. Paris police have since said they regretted the use of tear gas on the vulnerable and well-behaved. Leaving the stadium fans of both teams were set upon by local gangs, who attacked and robbed them while police did nothing to prevent the problems.

Both Sheffield United goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and Blackpool forward Shayne Lavery have failed to have their red cards, received in Saturday's draw between their sides, overturnedf. The duo will now serve three-game bans.

Rochdale have been handed a six-point deduction, suspended for two years, by the English Football League. Dale were found guilty of failing to comply with the league's regulations over an attempted takeover following an investigation into Morton House MGT's attempt to buy the club. The club pleaded guilty and former CEO David Bottomley was given a 2-year ban from operating as a relevant person for a football club. Bottomley was voted off the board in June 2021 and has been working as chief operating officer at AFC Fylde since then. Andrew Curran and Darrell Rose have also received two-year bans, while Faical Safouane was given an 18-month ban for their role in the breaches.
