A Few Thoughts on Football By An Everton Supporter

Hi all fellow Blues, in this international break, I thought it might be the opportune time to air some of my thoughts on a few things. FFP, don't worry Ed002, I'm not going to discuss finances, however I do wish to discuss sanctions and this fear of points deductions. Chelsea were in breach of numerous ffp over something like 5-7 years and received a €10 million fine.

Man City was charged with FFP breaches over two or so seasons and banned from European competition for two years, which if memory serves me, got lifted or suspended. They've also been fined €60 million for some irregularities, but can't remember which it might be one and the same, whatever.

We have been reported for 1 breach. If we get charged and remember we were working with the governing bodies over all our transfers, then the worst we are likely to get if proven is a fine.

Different point entirely now:

Sean Dyche (SD) is reported to have said Andre Gomez has no place in the squad and the club are trying to get him moved on, his contract is up in June anyway so while all options while various windows remain open must be explored the economics of either paying up his contract or trying again in January will be made by cleverer people than you or I.

Dele, I think we can all agree that he was or is a player of of considerable skill. He has come through a lot that many of us can't even comprehend to be able to just function on a day to day basis let alone perform on one of the biggest stages in sport.

What his future is I'm not sure but it would appear he is in SD plans and it is a physical injury he is recovering from and if he can get fit for SD then we have a player on our hands

Either way, whether we get him fit and well to a point where he can move on or he goes onto be an Everton legend that is for the future and the lad just needs our support and not seen as an unnecessary financial burden

Anyway the thoughts of chairman Big C are here for you to discuss. Have a nice weekend wherever you are and remember be kind to everyone who isn't a blue it's not their fault they were led astray.
