Football News: Everton FC Potential Smart Player Signings

Everton FC Potential Smart Player Signings

I think we are all fed up of the sub-par rags linking us to players past their sell by date. Hopefully Everton FC are scouring the European leagues and lower leagues to unearth some gems that aren't going to cost us a bomb but can still improve us. Here are a few that would be potential smart player signings that nobody has really posted about on evertonrumours.co.uk as of yet (I don't think).

Juan Miranda: (25) - LB - Bologna. Great passer of the ball. Ranks top 1% of crosses across Europe's top 5 leagues. 6 assists last season.

Maxim De Cuyper: (24) - LB - Club Brugge. 3 goals and 5 assists this season. Previously a winger in his younger years, his ability to fly down the wing is a key trait. His progressive play is noticeable and sits in the top 99% of progressive passes, expected assists and shot-creating actions across Europe's top 5 leagues. That attacking instinct doesn't appear to take away from his defensive abilities. He dominated the City and Aston Villa CL games this year, completing more duels than anyone on the pitch in both games.

Callum Doyle: (21) - CB - Man City. Primarily a CB, he can cover the LB spot as well. A few loans cutting his teeth in the physically demanding league of the Championship and not showing any signs of shirking from the job. He isn't particularly aggressive or dominant, he is more of a ball-playing and composed CB in the JS mould. Not sure we will be able to sign him, but a loan would be a good option if we lose Keane and need CB cover and he can cover Myko.

Zuriko Davitashvili: (24) - LW - St Etienne. 9 goals and 8 assists this season. Very versatile and can play across all 3 forward positions. Predominantly used on the left flank this past season, he can sit comfortably in the 10, playing in the half-spaces and opening passing lanes. Has great pace and brilliant dribbling, but best of all he can ping one in the top corner of the onion bag from range. Quite pleasing is that he doesn't shirk his defensive abilities, probably due to his Georgian heritage.

Igor Paixao: (24) - LW - Feynoord. Quick, great feet, creative. Similar to Ndiaye but possesses a bit more ability from range. Comfortable on both flanks. 16 goals and 10 assists last year. I know it's the Dutch league but the lad can play.

Evann Guessand: (23) - Striker - Nice. Big, strong, powerful, quick. Carries the ball really well for a big lad and a very intelligent mover tbf. Capable of holding the ball up and bringing others into play from the deeper positions. 12 goals and 7 assists last year. I thought he was a little raw last season still, but he has gone from strength to strength this season.

Sebastiano Esposito: (22) - Striker - Inter. Not sure this one is even doable and perhaps he will stay at Inter this summer instead of another loan. He is only 22 but has already had 6 loan spells, amassing a lot of experience. Quality first touch, brilliant passer and links up play really well. He is calm and assured in possession and seems to make brilliant decisions. Not blessed with a lot of pace, but makes up for it in other areas. Certainly a different profile of striker.
