Football News: If Steven Gerrard Returns To Rangers, Let's Finish What We Started

It's not over the line by any means yet, but I hope and pray it's Steven Gerrard coming back to Glasgow Rangers.

I know months ago many on here were completely against the idea when I wrote about it in many posts and even a few articles Ed kindly posted for me on here. But now, it's great to see more and more fans warming to the possibility. And I truly believe if he does return, it could be exactly what our club needs.

Whatever anyone thinks of him, Gerrard's presence alone would bring back the professionalism, standards, and accountability this club is built on. Players will feel it immediately they'll see what he expects, what the club expects, and what we as supporters expect.

He's a man who commands instant respect. He brings determination, intensity, and a winning mentality. Losing was never acceptable to him and he never hid from that fact first time around.

Off the park, Gerrard is approachable He'll inspire players to speak openly, to express themselves, and to fight for the badge. And the best part, he's still learning and evolving as a manager he admits that himself. That kind of humility and hunger is exactly what we need and what's been lacking.

Yes, it's true it's a 1-in-9 trophy record, and yes, he left suddenly. But it takes a real man to come back and face that, to take everything that was said about him on the chin, and still want to return. If he does come back, it's because he wants to finish what he started.

I genuinely believe he has a genuine love for our club. He'll relish the challenge, the pressure, the expectations everything that comes with being Rangers manager and I believe he will excel quicker and better than first time around.

If Gerrard gets this job, I truly believe he'll:

1. Bring back organisation and structure, especially to our defence.

2. Get the best out of players like Raskin, Cameron, Barron, Diomande, and maybe even Rothwell.

3. Inspire attacking players like Gassama, Aasgard, and Antman to play with freedom and confidence.

4. Give the whole squad a boost in morale and belief that's been missing.

If this happens, let's give him the chance and our full backing. Let's unite again as a support, believe in the project, and rebuild that connection between the stands and the pitch. We all want the same thing; to see Rangers successful, proud, and united once more.

How good would it feel to see everyone pulling together again, chasing title number 56 and doing it with pride, passion, and purpose?

Steven Welcome home, Let's finish the job. Let the fans come on the journey and dream once more.
