Football News: The Glasgow Rangers Players Have A Lack Of Fitness

How refreshing was it sitting there watching a totally different team boss that 1st half, and look like we had the game in the bag! However, how depressing was it sitting there watching the same old Rangers team unfold before our very eyes, and reverting back to type in the 2nd half!

After our 1st half performance, how did we manage not to win that game? If our players looked like a completely different team in the 1st half, they were everything that was wrong under Russell Martin in the 2nd half. Talk about frustrating!

One thing that i think is glaringly obvious is our players' lack of fitness. The longer the game went on, you could clearly see the majority of them flagging, and allowing the visitors to dictate the tempo. This is on Martin! We were warned that player fitness is a real concern under his stewardship, and it's there for all to see. That must be addressed ASAP!

If, and when, Kevin Muscat comes in, he has some major work to do. This is one helluva challenge getting these players up to scratch. The ability is there, but the fitness, and mental toughness, is shot to bits. Good luck Kevin, you're going to need it.

Also, we definitely need to 'talk about Kevin'! Not Muscat, but the other Kevin. That one is up to no good. The guy is a poison within our club, and serious questions need asked. From paying way over the odds on a defender who is virtually anonymous since he signed, to paying far too much on a striker who hadn't scored in 2 years. Are strikers not meant to score goals?! Of course they are, but our Kevin sees no issues with that.

So, why pay so much on both? It wouldn't have anything to do with his previous relationships with Everton and B. Fry at Peterborough? No, not our Kevin! However, throw in the fact he's handed his own son a top job at our club, then you start to think. Coincidence? I think not! What's that old saying?! If anything happens more than once, then it stops being a coincidence. Hmmmmm!

After the euphoria of the takeover, and how things were about to change for the better, are we seeing that? Not one bit! In fact, things have got considerably worse, and we are a shambles right now. Yes, appointing Martin was a major blunder, which has taken us backwards in a big way. However, it's not just his fault. Again, Thelwell's fingers were all over that one.

We are a team with invisible overseas owners, who have no desire to be here full time. That's fine as long as they have the right team in place to ensure we get the best for our club. However, they don't! They have a rudderless ship, manned by, imo an incompetent crew, and if that remains, then we better get our life jackets on. Stewart, Thelwell et al. are imo incompetent at best, or in Thelwell's case, intentional at worst. You choose.
