Football News: Redknapp rules out move for Spurs star

Harry Redknapp has dismissed talk of him signing Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend for QPR.

Townsend has struggled for fitness and form this season, making just 5 appearances so far.

Because of this, and it being known Harry Redknapp rates him highly as a player, already having managed him at Spurs while in charge, and Townsend having had a previous loan spell with the Hoops, papers put 2 and 2 together and decided he was about to sign.

Redknapp has moved to quash those stories though, saying at his press conference: "Andros belongs to Tottenham. We're looking for loans, we couldn't be buying players at the moment."
