Football News: Millwall confirm deal with Cardiff

Cardiff City have agreed a £100,000 fee with Millwall for defender Scott Malone.

Millwall have confirmed the deal has been agreed and it is just down to the player himself to agree terms and pass a medical.

The left back is currently in the Welsh capital city for talks and a medical.

The Bluebirds initial bid for Malone had been rejected, thought to be £75,000, with Millwall hoping for a player swap, but they have now accepted the second offer.

A Millwall statement confirmed: "Millwall Football Club can confirm that Scott Malone has been given permission to talk to Cardiff City about a permanent transfer to the Championship side.

"The left-back will discuss personal terms and undergo a medical over the coming days."

Cardiff manager Russell Slade and the player share the same agent.
