1. Allan confirms January loan from Liverpool
Liverpool midfielder Allan Rodrigues De Souza is set to leave on loan for the rest of the season, as the 18 year old confirmed. The Brazilian youngster has already had a spell as Finnish club SJK, playing a part as they lifted their first-ever domestic title. With his work permit not ready, and unlikely to be ready until the middle of the he will go out on loan to get first team football. "I wouldn't be available [for selection] in January because my work visa isn't ready," he reportedly told ESPN Brazil. "So I will be loaned out again. I'll be back in the middle of 2016, even more ready and eager to play for Liverpool."

2. Jones signs for NEC Nijmegen
Australia's former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones has moved to Holland on a free transfer. The 33 year old former Middlesbrough stopper had been released early by Bradford City in October, after signing for them on a year long contract in the summer. He had struggled to make his mark at the League One side, playing just 3 times in his 3 months with them. "After a positive medical examination, NEC Monday signed an agreement with the Australian goalkeeper Brad Jones," the club said in a statement. "Jones signed a contract until June 30, 2016 and is a free transfer to NEC."

3. Boateng completes Milan return
Way back in May, Kevin-Prince Boateng was kicked out of Bundesliga side Schalke, amid rumblings of massive attitude and off field issues. Since then, the Ghana star has been in limbo, suspended by Schalke but unable to find anyone interested in buying him. He began training with former club AC Milan, who won the Scudetto with him in the team in his first spell, back in September. With Schalke finally terminating his contract last month, the midfielder was free to officially sign for Milan.

4. Deulofeu is changing my role says Coleman
Seamus Coleman has admitted that he is having to change his game this season, due to the success of Gerard Deulofeu playing in front of him. The right back has become known for his attacking forward runs, but admits it is a little more difficult for him to charge forward now. "It's changed a little bit with Gerard playing in front of me," Coleman said after Sunday's draw with Spurs. "He hugs the touchline, which means I can't get around him or get wide. I'm more inside playing the ball to him, but that's working better for the team so I've no complaints. It would be good to get on the scoresheet but it's important we win the games. I might usually be getting wide and getting at people whereas I'm more giving it to 'Gerry' now and letting him do it. The gaffer still wants us getting forward with the right opportunities but it's just a little bit different, the positions I take up inside rather than outside."

5. Wright tells Mane that he does not deserve big move
Manchester United have been very open about their interest in signing Southampton attacker Sadio Mane, spending the summer attempting to woo the Senegalese. With their interest being revived ahead of the January window, Saints manager Ronald Koeman saw fit to drop Mane and publicly criticise him after another late arrival to a pre-match team meeting. Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has now said that Mane's behaviour shows a lack of professionalism and that he does not deserve a move to Man Utd. "The game's gone crazy," Wright said. "You can't turn up to meetings late, wandering in and acting like that. There's nothing wrong with him wanting to go but he's still got to perform. He's one of the top boys, he proved that last season. You want to see him bursting a gut to help Southampton out of this mess."

6. Espanyol president denies Neymar received racist chants
Barcelona's local rivals Espanyol are facing an investigation into alleged racist chants aimed at Barca's Brazilian star Neymar Jr. Espanyol president Joan Collet has denied that the chants were racist in nature, claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo receives the same abuse. "I was there, on the pitch, and I saw nothing," he said. "I hear those chants of 'uh, uh, uh' every Sunday, even about Cristiano [Ronaldo], and I have never interpreted them as imitating a monkey. That's how it went. But if we must sanction anyone, you'd have to demonstrate that it was the sound of a monkey. And it wasn't."

7. Barcelona register 77 new players
Catalan club Barcelona have acted swiftly at the end of their transfer ban with 77 new players registered across all age groups. After Barca breached the rules on signing under 18s, they were given a transfer ban by FIFA, which lasted 14 months. Now the ban is over, the club has seen a massive influx of new players at all levels. Just two players are intended for the first team, Aleix Vidal, brought in from Sevilla, and Arda Turan, arriving from Atletico Madrid, but it is still an imposing amount of new players arriving at once.

8. Chilwell returns to Leicester
Huddersfield Town will have to find a new left back in the January window, as on loan Leicester City youngster Ben Chilwell has returned to the Foxes. Chilwell joined the John Smith's Stadium side in November, getting seven league starts for the Championship side and impressed enough to see Huddersfield try and extend the loan deal. Head coach David Wagner said of Chilwell on Huddersfield's official website: 'He has done a very good job; he is a great English talent. We are not in the position to make the decision to keep him here - Leicester is - so we have to wait. If there is any chance he can stay longer we will try to take this, but I think the chances are not so high. I think Ben would like to stay, but he is also not the person who makes the final decision. We all have to look to Leicester and wait.' Unfortunately for Wagner, Leicester made the choice to bring him back, at least for now, for manager Claudio Ranieri to take a look at the 19 year old.

9. Fernandinho hates being subbed
Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has played the most minutes for the blue side of Manchester this season, despite that he dismisses talk of resting him. "My body works best when I'm playing all the time so when I work more and I play more I feel better," the 30-year-old said. "Since I returned from my holidays in the summer, I tried to play straight away - even though I didn't take part in pre-season. But I felt good and it carried on from there. I've been happy with my performances. My aim is to keep these levels up throughout the season and help us win games and keep on the right track. I can rest at the end of the season and enjoy time with my family. That's when I'll recharge my batteries, not before. I just love to play and always want to be involved. Occasionally when I come off during a game I get a little bit angry. But it's only because I want to play in every game and every minute to help my team-mates." If only more players had his attitude and we stopped having to listen to whines about how hard they work playing a couple of times a week!

10. Allardyce hits out at fixture list
Sam Allardyce has begun the usual chorus of whines about fixtures in the English Premier League by moaning about the scheduling over Christmas, as he talks about the need to rest players for their FA Cup 3rd round match with Arsenal. "Of course I'm going to make changes for our Cup tie at Arsenal on Saturday," Allardyce told British media. "If the Premier League decides to put a stupid fixture midweek when they don't bloody need to, then I haven't got much choice. It's diabolical. We're flogging the lads. There are more and more injuries every year but it's completely ignored by the Premier League. It's unbelievable. If you want us to respect the FA Cup, don't put Premier League fixtures in the midweek just after new year. Don't give me stick when I change the side at Arsenal. Give the Premier League stick, not the managers."
