1. Wenger hits out at Stoke fans over Ramsey booing
Arsenal faced Stoke City on Sunday evening, in a game that has developed a nasty edge in recent years, mostly since Stoke's Ryan Shawcross's horrible challenge that left Aaron Ramsey with a broken leg in 2010. Since then, Ramsey has been the victim of the Stoke boo-boys every time he faces them. Yesterday the Stoke fans descended to a new low, in their taunting of the Welsh international, with clear chants of "Aaron Ramsey, he walks with a limp".

Wenger said: "I have no influence on it and I don't know what generally you should do about it. When people get together sometimes they forget their individual responsibility. Maybe when you go home and watch it on television you are less proud. I focus on the game. I shut my ears, I think that's best way to deal with it."

3. Everton to refund tickets for Man City clash
After a four car collision on the M62 caused hundreds of supporters to arrive late for the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Everton on the 13th January at the Etihad Stadium, some missing the game altogether, Everton will refund tickets for next week's second leg Capital One Cup clash to those supporters who had tickets for the league match as well. A statement on Everton's official website said: 'There were unprecedented and unavoidable travel issues which affected some of our supporters ahead of our Premier League game against Manchester City on Wednesday at The Etihad. Unfortunately, it was outside of the club's control to delay the kick-off time, but we understand the frustration caused to many travelling fans on the night who missed a significant proportion of the game. The unwavering commitment of Evertonians in supporting the team on our travels is renowned and anyone who made the trip during the week endured a stressful experience. As a gesture of goodwill in appreciation of this support, the club has decided to pay the ticket price for our Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Manchester City for any fan who has purchased for this game and also purchased for the away league fixture. More details will be announced next week on how this will be processed.'

4. Neymar to Madrid was a joke
Roberto Carlos has admitted that he was joking when he told reporters that he would take Neymar Jr from Barcelona to Real Madrid with him if he joined the club's backroom staff. The legendary former Brazil and Madrid left back has said the quotes were taken out of context and he never really believed he could persuade Brazil's current captain to quit the Bernabeu. "It is impossible, I said that in jest and someone has taken it seriously because Madrid will always bring the best in the world," Carlos said. Carlos is now concentrating on preparing for his future in coaching, having spent last season of the Indian Super League as player manager of Delhi Dynamos.

5. This is what happens when you are not watching the game

6. McClaren denies boos made him drop Thauvin
With Newcastle United in relegation trouble, they need every player they can get with a creative edge to their game, even so they are preparing to loan out Florian Thauvin to French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille. The unsettled 22 year old was booed when he made his last appearance for the Toon against Watford, with chants of "you're not fit to wear the shirt" ringing in his ears, it is little wonder he wants out. Newcastle's head coach Steve McClaren has denied that was why Thauvin was left out of the squad at the weekend. "He trained a bit (on Friday), but felt it. There was no point risking him, and it was good to get Rolando and Manu (Riviere) back involved," McClaren said.

7. Barca wanted Aguero not Suarez
Former Barcelona director of football Andoni Zubizarreta has revealed that the Catalan club were busy chasing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, and that they only signed Luis Suarez because he was so desperate to join them in 2014. "We had several options. Suárez wasn't the first choice - he knows as much. In the winter we tried to sign Aguero, but it didn't work out. The Chiellini incident [Suárez's bite on the Italy defender] happened while the negotiations were ongoing. That business put off many of the clubs who were interested in him; there were question marks over his character and how serious his punishment would be. There was another key factor: from the beginning he was totally desperate to join Barça," Zubizarreta is quoted as saying in Marca.

8. Chelsea given injury boost
Chelsea snatched a last second 3-3 draw with Everton which was tempered by fears that Diego Costa had suffered a broken leg. Costa was forced off the pitch and taken to hospital for scans following a challenge. The Stamford Bridge outfit were relieved to discover that he had just bruised his tibia and that there was no fracturing. The former Atletico Madrid striker has just begun to hit good form, after an awful start to the season, which was mirrored by Chelsea's poor start. Chelsea have now brought the forward back to the club to try and get him back to fitness for the weekend.

9. Lens wants to stay
Sunderland's Dutch winger Jeremain Lens is set to stay at Sunderland in the January transfer window. It was rumoured he was set to leave as he struggled for first team football, but he has recently won his place back and is now happy to stay with the Mackems. Lens told the Echo: "I never spoke about leaving. It's the media and all the things around me. We will see what happens. I'm a Sunderland player and I'm focused on Sunderland. I'm happy that I'm playing, but I wasn't with the result at Spurs. Let's hope I'm playing in the next game and we can get a good result. It's not my original position, but, if I can help the team from there, I will play and try to do my best. I think, in general, I was already adapting to the Premier League, but there was a misunderstanding between me and the manager! That's in the past now and we need to go forward. I'm playing now and I'm happy." The 28 year old was dropped for the Chelsea match due to disciplinary reasons.

10. ADO Den Haag fans to be investigated over racial abuse accusations
Ajax beat ADO Den Haag 1-0 in the Eredivisie on Sunday, but the main focus of the game was an accusation of racial abuse by Den Haag fans aimed as Riechedly Bezoer. The Royal Netherlands Football Federation (KNVB) have said they will be investigating. "Jungle sounds are awful," the KNVB tweeted. "We will put the images and reports forward to the prosecutor of professional football." Ajax's head coach Frank de Boer was disgusted by the noises. "I could not believe it because they also have many players with that skin colour running around," De Boer told FOX Sports. "I told Hennie Spijkerman [Ajax assistant coach] 'Do they do jungle sounds?' It does not belong on the field, and outrageous it happens in the Netherlands."
