3. Former Man Utd player tells England to drop Rooney
Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has told England that all-time leading goalscorer Wayne Rooney should be dropped and is not a leader. Speaking to Eurosport Parker said: "Rooney could feasibly be fourth in the pecking order when the Euros roll around. For me Daniel Sturridge is number one, because he brings assists and goals, with Kane and Vardy just behind. But you can't pick Sturridge at the moment - he has to be fit and firing on all cylinders, otherwise you can't risk him. Obviously, he's not at the same level as eighteen months ago and for that reason Rooney can at least consider himself the third best striker. He could force his way back into the frame before the summer, but he has to have one hell of a season-ender, not only scoring goals but putting in much-improved performances. Being captain is not enough. He's not a leader. He's just a PR captain. That's all he is."

4. M'Vila looks to have contract torn up so he can stay with Sunderland
Yann M'Vila is on loan to Sunderland until the end of the season, with a clause in the deal to make the loan a permanent switch from Rubin Kazan. M'Vila has admitted his representatives are attempting to free him from his contract with Rubin. "It's important for me to sort out the contract issue with Rubin Kazan but I have always said that my objective is to play in the Premier League," he said. "I want to stay here and play in the Premier League with Sunderland. Hopefully we will stay up and they will make me an offer, and then we can get around the table and talk and hopefully we can continue the adventure. At the moment I am speaking with a lawyer. I think my contract with Rubin Kazan runs until December 2016, so there is still six months to run from the end of the season. I don't really want to go back there and I don't really think they want me back, so we are trying to find a way of terminating that deal so I can be a free agent and then I will be in a better position to discuss future offers."

5. Johnson changes his sex case plea
Sunderland's former Manchester City and Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson has changed his plea to two of the four sex charges he is facing. Initially pleading not guilty to all four charges, Johnson has now admitted guilt in one count of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming. The 28 year old England international had previously maintained his innocence of all charges.

6. Forest winger extends loan
Teenage winger Joe Worrall has extended his loan at League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge until 6th March. The Nottingham Forest defender has been on loan at the Daggers since the start of the last month, making his debut in the FA Cup against Premier League club Everton. The 19 year old won the man of the match award on his home debut against Northampton Town.

7. Bale in training to recover from his calf injury

One thing to note, Real Madrid have him training on sand to improve his fitness, yet so many English clubs moved away from working players on sand in recent years, claiming it was too tough on the joints.

8. Mayor of Liverpool backs ticket protests
Joe Anderson, the Mayor of Liverpool, has given his backing to the Liverpool fans who protested against high ticket prices. Anderson has also suggested that other supporters should get involved in organised protests against football's greed. "They receive £90 million in TV rights and increasing ticket prices is obscene," he wrote, blaming the treatment of supporters on "the greed of football clubs who don't understand how the ordinary man, woman and kids in the street are affected. What I would say is with the increase in TV revenue and the revenue increase from building a new stand, I don't think anyone would say it is justifiable to say we want to make season tickets over £1,000," he wrote. "Every club should look at themselves and think, 'Do we really need to price out more fans? Do you need an increase when players' wages are going through the roof and our income is getting stronger every year through the TV deal?' There is no justification for any of them to make increases."

9. Nine (9) year old wins Everton's goal of the month award
