Review of the Day

Transfers

Everton's Belgian winger Kevin Mirallas is to spend the season on loan again. Last season he was at Olympiakos after falling out of favour and this season he will be at Fiorentina.

Just a day after signing Vidal, Barcelona agree to sell Vidal to Sevilla. Barca have brought in Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich, then sold Spanish full-back/midfielder Aleix Vidal back to Sevilla for just under £8m.

Toulouse have paid just over £2m to sign winger Mathieu Dossevi from FC Metz.

Australian centre back Trent Sainsbury has been released by Jiangsu Suning.

Caen complete the signing of Moroccan international Faycal Fajr from Getafe in La Liga.

Clement Hits Back At Bent Following Criticism

Reading manager Paul Clement was clearly hurt by criticism from Darren Bent. Bent commented to Sky Sports that it was 'inevitable' Clement would fail at the club, that he had changed his philosophy and training methods and "didn't like confrontation". Clement hit back via social media saying: "I sense some bitterness here, which is normal if a player does not play much. It is never a difficult decision to leave out a player who is overweight and lazy." The pair 'worked together' at Derby County, when Clement spent 8 months in charge, Bent failing to make a single appearance for Derby in that period and eventually going on loan to Burton Albion.

Leeds Forced To Sacrifice Vieira

The owner of Leeds United Andrea Radrizzani has moved to quell the grumblings from fans over the sale of Ronaldo Vieira for over £7m to Sampdoria. Radrizzani admits manager Marcelo Bielsa was unhappy with the sale but the club needed to sell him to fund the investments made in the club. Radrizzani told the BBC: "The investment we've made in the past year does not allow us to do anything else to find more resources. The sacrifice was very hard for me to do because he's a great player. He was one of best players to come from our youth but I cannot put the club in danger in the future. We thought it would be a sacrifice we could take, and still maintain the team and invest where we need more. For example, we have brought in all the players the manager asked for, and perhaps we can look for one or two more this summer."

Cameroon Turn To Seedorf

After failing to agree a deal with former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have turned to former Holland midfielder Clarence Seedorf. Seedorf lasted less than six months in all of his previous managerial roles with AC Milan, Shenzhen and Deportivo La Coruna.

Fosu-Mensah Close To Loan Move

20 year old defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah looks set for another season-long loan move. The youngster spent last season on loan with Crystal Palace, this season he looks set for Hertha Berlin, who are in talks to take him from Manchester United.

Koulibaly Signs New Deal

Senegalese centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly has signed a new five-year deal with Napoli. Koulibaly had been linked with a move to Chelsea to join his former boss Maurizio Sarri. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis announced the new deal ahead of Napoli's pre-season clash with Liverpool yesterday.

Laxalt Wanted By Zenit

The agent of Uruguay's World Cup star Diego Laxalt is coveted by Zenit St Petersburg, according to his agent Ariel Krasouski. Krasouski said in an interview: "Yes, it is true, Laxalt is really liked by Zenit, who spoke with Genoa, they asked for information. Now the Russian club has changed sporting directors and soon the contacts will start again. Last year, after the failed transfer to Atalanta, the president of Genoa, Preziosi, promised Diego that he would let him go in a season if a suitable proposal arrived for both him and the club. For Genoa, he is worth €20m, we are waiting for the parties to return for talks after the change of the sporting director at Zenit. What is certain is that Diego feels very well at Genoa, he feels the city and the team are like his second home."

No Bids For Grealish

Despite constant speculation linking the Aston Villa player to Tottenham Hotspur, among others, manager Steve Bruce has said there have been no bids for Jack Grealish this summer. Bruce has admitted that any offers coming in would not be welcomed, as the club plans to hold onto all their stars this summer following their big money takeover.
