Football News: Liverpool FC Need to Buy 4 Players This Summer

Mr. Jurgen Norbert Klopp, the best manager, Liverpool FC has had since the historic days of Paisley, Shankly, Fagan etc., but for Christ sake, he has one summer now to show he has the ruthless streak required to cement his place as a true great, by shifting some of the players who were great, but are now finished in terms of Premier League challenging levels.

Milner, a great guy and a true professional, but he either drops down to the Championship for a year or two, or retires to take up coaching. Virgil van Dijk (VVD) is a shadow of his former self and has been for 2 seasons now, he will not regain the invincibility he once possessed and should be sold whilst he still has some value. Josko Gvardiol should replace him, and he wants to play for the Reds!

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, both leaving for free this summer, and long overdue, Keita has been the worst signing since El Hadji Diouf!

Curtis Jones is nowhere near the level Liverpool need to challenge, I honestly believe he would be best at a club where he could play regularly and so improve, maybe Nottingham Forest who seem to buy en mass!

Fabinho has dropped off a cliff and his decline is akin to the way Dele Alli declined. He seems to have lost interest as well. He myst be moved on in the summer and replaced.

I personally, don't agree that our forward options are enough like some on this forum, I like Darwin Nunez, but he has only been ok this season. I don't see 20 plus goals in him each season, the same with Cody Gakpo, he is a decent player, and will get better.

Salah will bounce back too, and hopefully Luis Diaz returns from a bad injury with some vigour, but that is a risk as well. For me we need another forward with a clinical finishing attribute.

Liverpool FC shouldn't mess about in the summer, but spend enough to enable us to compete again, and I'm only talking 4 players here.

Gvardiol is the first player to bring in for me, he loves the club, is a standout performer, young, aggressive, and ideal to replace VVD, who is no longer good enough.

Jude Bellingham is next, but I know his cost is huge and he might be beyond our reach, so Mason Mount would be the alternative and for half the cost of Bellingham, would be a good solid option.

I hope the club go for tried and tested and someone with experience, as the next midfield target, Zielinski springs to mind, as he has lots of experience and played in the Champions League regularly. He is one option, there will be others that won't cost a kings ransom!

Adding in a forward will be trickier, we need experience again, someone who has proven finishing and is different to what we have already. I would ask for a fox in the box type of player, Victor Osimhen from Napoli maybe, who scores for fun.

This will require a significant commitment from FSG, and even then, would likely take a season to bed in and gel. The winter window and the summer of 2024 would then require more, as Salah isn't getting any younger and Robbo is going to burn out at some point.

The need for outside investors is emphasised even more, or better still, a buyer for the club that has hunger and desire to win the Premier League again. Klopp should have had more than one Premier League win to his name, now FSG and himself have to prove that!
