Football News: Villareal post a profit

Spanish Primera Liga side Villareal have reported a 6m Euros profit in 2013-14, with a budget of 51m Euros.

With this season's (2014-15) budget set at 61.75m Euros and a revenue of 62m Euros, it is likely that next season will also see a small profit for the Yellow Submarines.

With the current financial crisis still badly affecting the Spanish economy, Villareal have worked hard to ensure that their club stays on an even keel, while others struggle.

Could they begin to feel the benefits in coming years, as they will not be weighed down by the burden of debt, unlike some of their rivals?
