Football News: Dave Whelan the racist?

Wigan Athletic owner, Dave Whelan, has caused a further furore with his continued efforts to prove how enlightened Malky Mackay really is, following his appointment as boss of the 'Latics.

Not content with dismissing Malky's texts about 'chinks' as harmless banter, as, according to Whelan, everyone has called the Chinese 'chinks' and they don't mind it.

This despite the Chinese community pointing out that actually they did find the term derogatory and offensive.

Still, that was not enough for Mr Whelan (by the way did you know he broke his leg in an FA Cup final? Probably not as it has received little in the way of media coverage) who has now decided to add more insulting terms.

In an interview intended to fix the damage he had managed to cause within the Jewish community, Davey boy cleverly smoothed the whole thing over by pointing out how he used to always call Chinese people 'chingalings' when he was younger.

So there we have it, Malky is not that bad really, at least not compared to his boss anyway!
